Eight years later.

I always hated Mondays.

I don't know why, but I always did. 

It reminds me of the slow, painful long week ahead.

Yeah that should be the reason.

Well, the only good thing I like about Mondays is that I have my cup of black coffee to keep me going.

I thank the cashier at the coffee shop I always get my coffee from on the way to work every morning.

She smiles at me and I sigh.

"Have a great day!" She says cheerfully.

"Thanks Milly." I say as I read her name tag.

She look happy

Too happy.

And somehow, it irritates me.

I sigh and walk out of there. The sun hits my face and I use my hand to block the sun from my face.

It was too sunny for a winter morning. 

I take a sip from my coffee and I start walking to my office.

I work as a lawyer in a small firm in New York.
