Ten minutes have passed with me not saying a single word, Jacob and Daniel were deep in a conversation talking in hushed tones and I was sitting beside my mate quietly looking at my entwined hands, my wolf was feeling betrayed she said that she wanted to be alone, she wanted to go to the woods but I was afraid of going there alone as it could be dangerous. I just can't handle it being with her in the same room, Carol, it was obvious that they were somewhere together before they came in. Were they talking about the same thing they talked about in the office? How I wish that it was just talking they did.

Lauren came in and went directly to Daniel who guided her to his lap where she sat gladly before giving him a peck on his left cheek. "Who was on the phone?" he then asked her.
