Capítulo 69: Lost courage

Samantha ran down the stairs, prepared to speak to the man who she knew was here for her. 'I am never going to let him take me away. I will not go with him. I..' She stopped short when she saw the King leaving the banquet hall. Lord Bradford was beside him while he escorted him towards the dining hall.

Samantha hid herself the moment she saw him, her courage vanishing as quickly as it had come. The King seemed angry for some reason, and she did not want to provoke him all the more and face his wrath. She hid behind the balustrade that overlooked the ground floor.
