Echo's POV
1 Months Later
We are in Rio right now, just relaxing while the others fight for their lives, but I don't really care. Sorry Scott. Derek has finally caught up in the world of technology and is listening to music on headphones. I have been thinking about whether I love Derek or not. I decided that I am undoubtedly in love with him. I don't know how to tell him, his birthday is today so I had already served him breakfast in bed and as a surprise I am going to tell him how I feel.
Completely forgetting he has headphones and wolf hearing, I decided to just say it. "Derek, I think I'm in love with you" He took off his headphones and looked at me. "What?" He questioned. He didn't hear me. Damn it! I feel like such a clown. "Nothing" I mumbled. He went back to looking down at his phone and put his headphones back on.
"I love you too"
10 Months Later
Derek's POV
Stiles had just ran a hunter over with his jeep. "You didn't think you were going to do this without me?"
Echo and I appeared from the back.
"Without us"
I growled at the people in front of me and jumped over them, knocking them to the ground. Okay I'll explain, Echo and I found a pack slaughtered in Brazil, we investigated and she was injured by a hunter, she was going to die, so I had to turn her.
She growled at the hunters and attacked them. We got rid if them while an annoyed woman went back into a black SUV.
I looked towards where everyone was crowded. "Deaucalion?" Scott turned to look at him. "Gerard, knows that you can" His voice is becoming weaker. "Defeat him. And he knows it" He smiled and closed his eyes. Ok
That was something I'd never thought I'd see. Scott turned to me, he hugged me tightly. He pulled away and Peter, who was standing next to me, looked at me weirdly, "This is a great family reunion but,why are you here?"
"Echo and I found a pack slaughtered in Brazil. There were two words written in blood on the wall. Beacon Hills" They all looked at me in shock "You came back for Beacon Hills?" Scott asked, I shook my head. "I came back for you" He smiled and Echo came to my side as I wrapped my arms around her.
On the way back to the Vet Clinic.
Echo's POV
"So where have you been all this time?" Stiles said, Derek rolled his eyes at him but answered anyway. "Visiting Cora and just seeing different places visiting others etcetera" They seemed pretty annoyed, "We were fighting for our lives while you were out sightseeing?!" Scott and Stiles shouted together. "We still had to escape hunters and try to gather information about the slaughtered pack" I pointed out. They rolled there eyes and stopped talking.
At the vet clinic
"There's a new group of hunters. There are a lot of them. Most of them are coming from a place of fear"
"Fear is pretty motivating, especially when it leads to anger" We nodded Stiles looked directly to us. "So on my first day a slide came up about a pair of feral humans running around North Carolina" Stiles said,Malia looked at Derek. "I thought you were in South America?" Malia questioned. "We were, there were some hunters and we were trying to get information" Derek said, fed upStiles scoffed. "Well the FBI found out about it too and I had to basically save your life." I looked at him. "That is not how it happened!"
"Yes, they're might have been a slight detail I forgot to mention" Derek pulled me back to his side. "That's not how it happened and I know that because I was carrying you and temporarily Echo" I blushed and hid my face in his neck. "My toe was caught in a crossfire, and it was obliterated! O-b-l-i-te-rated!" I laughed and hugged Derek. "Anyway, we have another problem, it's called the anuke ite. It can turn you to stone just by looking at you"
I sighed. "I'm never going to get used to this" He chuckled and kissed my head. "So we basically have to fight this thing blind?" He snapped at them. They all nodded and he turned to me. "You're not coming" my eyes widened at him. "No! I don't care I'm your mate I fight with you!" Scott shifted uncomfortably at 'mate' and Derek turned his attention back to me. "Go home, protect her" He said through mind-link.
Yes we can do that once he marked me a couple months ago. "Get Peter to do it" I snapped back at him. Everyone was looking weirdly at us. "We need everyone in this fight, including my father. So whatever you're talking about, it can wait!" We shook our heads. "It literally can't. And I'm not staying at home again!" Stiles was just looking confused while Malia was a bit irritated, Lydia looked to be deep in thought and Scott was also extremely confused.
"Mind link!" Derek and I shouted together, "Look, Derek, I'm going to help and you can't stop me. I'm not staying home even if you beg me too. Get Cora to do it, she came back with us, call her ,she's only a town away and you know she wouldn't stand something like this. But she can handle being at home when the danger is at the school!" He eventually agreed. "Yes!" He chuckled and whispered in my ear. "Don't think you've just got out of it that easily" I rolled my eyes playfully and kissed his cheek.
"I'm not going to even ask." Stiles said and we nodded. "Probably for the best" We all got in Stiles' jeep and headed towards the school, where we will kill the anuke ite. Everyone entered the school and Derek always kept me behind him. "I'm sorry but I'm not staying here" Malia said, she left and I went to go after her. "No, Echo,you are staying with me" I sighed and nodded.
Scott went to find everyone else while Derek and I tried to locate where Malia had ran off to. "Derek?" A voice said, it was sweet and somewhat familiar. "Miss Blake?" Derek looked at me in surprise. "You know Jennifer". Derek suddenly put his hand over my eyes. "Close your eyes, now!!"
At the and of the fight, sorry it's just I don't really have the patience to re-write the whole battle when Echo is frozen soo....
Derek's stone casing exploded and so did mine. "Ah!" I screamed. Derek looked to me and then to the hunters that had a gun to my head. He lunged and knocked both of them out. "Derek, we're alive" He nodded and smiled. "Yes,we are"
