Capítulo 140: Confrontation

"Damn." Adrien looked back at the last remnants of Holland's body. "And I always thought him hanging around you guys was useless. Turns out I was wrong." 

Ashe covered her mouth, trying to hold back a laugh as her boyfriend turned to Jake. "You are not hurt? He's your brother." 

Jake rolled his eyes. "He's not a Vislate now, is he? Then what's there to worry about? I should be worried about you, my dear friend." He instilled every drop of sarcasm that he had been given and poured the whole bucket on Adrien with a bright smile. 

Adrien took the bash with an even brighter smile. "So kind of you to show concern, I'll make sure I return the favour someday," his voice was something on the edge of a snarl and only Jake caught it.
