Jester parked the Car, then Jerome jumped off the car and hid in nearby trees, and observed the area for immediate danger, they knew that Alrick was able to observe him in a distance so it's possible that he still around checking on him, Jerome must act to conceal himself, he needed to be careful not to blow his cover or he will lose his chance for revenge.

"Here we are home sweet home, why don't you come in first and make yourself at home, I'm just going upstairs and prep all the things that I will bring, also I need to secure the house, after all, it will be empty for a long time," then he turned and didn't wait for Jester to respond.
