XAVIER'S POV

"Mr. Diego, could I please talk to you. In private. It's about your sister. Nicole."

I nodded and got up. My nerves had begun to create a havoc inside me again. I felt that warm touch on my palm and I turned to see my mum holding my hand. 

She was looking at me. 

Just like I was looking at Ophelia. 

With questions lurking in the bright orbs. 

Will my Nicole be okay?

Will she come home with us?

Will she be able o spend time with us?

"Ma, I will come."

She didn't let go of my hand. Instead she latched onto it harder. I squeezed it back and tried to give her a smile. To ease this burden on her shoulders. 

It was too fake to work but I tried. 

"Ma. The doctor's waiting."

She nodded and let go of my hand. 

I began to walk away from there quickly. The doctor had already moved a lot forward. I jogged upto her and nodded.
