Capítulo 56: That deadened feeling

(FLASHBACK)

"Passengers your flight to New York will be departing soon. Please all passengers board your plane" After the announcement was made I knew this was it. He was leaving today, right now. When he first told me he would be leaving I actually thought he was joking, but as things are now, I guess that wasn't the case.

"Guy, are you sure about this" I heard Chimdi ask Dili. Five of us came to see him off. Well I didn't want to come, but at the end I knew I had to.

With a confident nod he responded "I'm sure" His affirmation only broke my heart the more. It still felt like a dream that he was actually going. The reality of it all was slowly crashing down on me. That deadened feeling of sadness began to engulf me.

After everyone had hugged him it was now only me left. When his eyes fell on me, I couldn't do it, I switched my gaze elsewhere. I looked at everywhere but at him. The others had apparently left giving us privacy which I was thankful of.
