" You don't need my permission. If there's anything, just do it". She said.

" I know but I still want you to be aware of what I'm going to do. The empress dowager may have questions, so it'll be best if you know it beforehand". I said to her in an assertive tone.

" Okay, tell me! What do you require my permission for?" She asked in an interrogative tone.

" For the next few days, I'll need to take your brother out". I answered her question in a perceptive tone.

Take him out! Is this a date? She chuckled at the thought.

" What are you laughing at?" I asked her in a rather confused tone.

" Nothing! I was simply thinking of something, that's all. Coming back to the matter at hand, you don't need my permission when it comes to my younger brother but thanks anyway for letting me know. You can take him out as you please". She said with a conniving smile.
