Capítulo 10: Moon
On the 22nd floor
Inside a room, a lot people were arranging the the filming set up. A man climbed onto the ladder and setting up lighting while two other men supporting him. Few people were adjusting different cameras at different places in the room. Some people just stood here and there, chatting among themselves. At a corner, a beautiful but strict looking lady in official suit and a fat middle aged man in casual clothes sat on chairs and discussing something while a few others stood by there side silently.
"Are you sure Ms Nithya? Did the president really found a model?" Shankar asked the lady beside him with a skeptical expression.
"I trust Madam. I'm sure madam won't joke about this." Nithya reassured him confidently but suddenly her gaze be became a bit weird as she held a bunch of papers in her hand "That aside, are you sure about this script? I still feel like... it is not reliable."
"It's can't be helped Ms Nithya. Honestly, the time you gave us was a little too small. Do you really expect us to create a good script in just 5 days? Not to mention the product owner's requirements and some sudden accidents. I feel like you shouldn't have accepted this project, it's not like SKS entertainments is desperate and lacks money." Shakar sighed as he complained.
He was a successful commercial ads director working under SKS Entertainments for a long time. He directed many successful and non-successful commercials in his career but this is the first time he felt the job so challenging.
The product this time was an international brand soap named 'Moon', owned by Starlight Private Limited International and it was recently launched in India. SKS entertainments took project for it's marketing in Telangana region. He and his team were assigned for the filming the advertisement and they had to finish it in just 5 days. Infact it wasn't a big deal with technology these days. The post production work won't take more than few hours and filming also won't take long. But the problem is a proper script. Producing a proper script is really tough in such a short time.
In the end, after fully racking their brains, they finally completed a not-so-bad script but suddenly the model they hired got fever. There were really unlucky these few days. He really felt like accepting this project wasn't a good choice.
Nithya shook her head at his words and stayed silent. He was just a commercial ads director so he doesn't know how important this project to the company.
SKS entertainments has many ways to earn money like movies, media, music, shopping malls, bars, restaurants, many other businesses but their starting line was Maa TV, the regional channel that SKS entertainments established 35 years ago.
Because of the channel's fame and popularity, their other businesses developed quickly and smoothly. Now SKS entertainments is one of the best companies in Telangana region or even in whole India. But during the last couple of years, the channel ratings declined rapidly. From being the best channel to one of the best channels. Now even in that rankings it was barely hanging.
To avoid further downfall of channel, Mr.Jordan Raushan, the CEO of SKS entertainments decided to take a risk and planning a big project this year. A project worth thousands of millions of rupees!
Though the company is rich, it alone can't produce such a massive amount of fundings so they need sponsors and this endorsement is a perfect opportunity. If they could make it successful, they could gain trust from Starlight Private Limited International and discuss further cooperation.
Infact, getting this opportunity from such a big company wasn't easy, especially with their declining popularity. If not for the craze of Spirit Award Fest next week, they wouldn't have gotten it.
As Nithya was deep in thoughts, a little comotion brokeout in the room, attracting her attention.
Sophia coolly walked into the room while Arjun followed her silently. When he saw the cameras and lightings, his eyes sparkled a bit but soon dimmed and a frown appeared on his face as he thought 'Filming? Why did Sophia brought me here? She want me to act a role or.. something else..?'
Noticing Sophia's presence, Nithya eyes lit up. She quickly stood up and walked up to her. Director Shankar and others also noticed them, followed Nithya.
"Welcome Madam." Nithya greeted Sophia respectfully and took a glance at Arjun curiously. Her eyes narrowed a bit when she noticed how intimate he walked with Sophia and how casual he looked around her. In the end, she loosened up and didn't think much about.
Sophia nodded at Nithya and shifted her gaze to Shankar.
Shankar fawningly smiled and streched out his hand "Welcome Madam."
Sophia shook her hand with him and nodded her head.
A boy quickly brought a chair to them. After Sophia sat down, Nithya stood by her side and started explaining the situation to her.
Arjun who was ignored couldn't help but feel bored. Since Sophia didn't introduce him yet, there is no way he could intervene. So he started looking around. There was a paper on the ground, which caught his eye. He curiously picked it up and started reading.
Arjun's mind started imagining a scene from the words on it.
An extremely handsome young man just came out of a fresh bath while rubbing a neat white towel on his wet hair with his left hand.
He was still wet and naked without any clothes but boxers on him.
His skin is fully exposed to air. It was white, clean and smooth without any speck of dust. It was glittering brightly under the dripping water droplets.
Suddenly a packaged soap box fell from the sky. The young man elegantly caught it with his right hand. Then he abruptly turned toward this side and spoke with a smile
"Boom, Boom, Boom,
I've gone to the moon,
Zoom, Zoom, Zoom,
I'll go again soon,
If you too want to take a trip,
You gotta buy the 'Moon' soap,
Boom, Boom, Boom,
Get your own Moon,
And fly to the moon..."
"...."
