It was a race against time. As the Prince gallops his horse through the capital, his mind could only think of Ivy, and his heart was suffering from the thought that he could never see her again.

He imagines how he could never touch her soft hands or how he could never hear her joyful laughter or see her dazzling smile or feel her warm hug.

She is the person that made his life worth living, and losing her is like losing oxygen, and he is suffocating.

  [I won't let you leave me,] he thought as he increases his speed.

But when he finally reached the harbour, the sun has already risen, and the ship he seeks for has already departed. 

  "Your highness?! Why ---"

Annabeth and Mr Omer were still at the port, for they wanted to see the girl off.

The Prince did not stop to chat with them as his eyes were only focused on the ship.
