Capítulo 21: Is he secretly married?

The first one to wake up from the shock was Liam, "Sister-in-law? Did your wife called? He had said it was urgent, quick call her and ask if something is wrong!"

Ethan then quickly called called his wife and asked a series of questions, "Hello? Did you just call Aiden? Are you alright dear? Are there any complications with the baby? No?" After having a long talk with his wife and getting assured that nothing was wrong with her or their baby, Ethan finally calmed down and talked with Liam, "She said nothing was wrong. Whom do you think Aiden was talking about? He said sister-in-law! Maybe he is secretly married!?!"

Liam was shocked as he hurriedly answered, "What are you talking about!? Of course not! I am his best friend. I would know if there is something like that."

"But he had clearly said Sister-in-law, maybe-"

"Nowadays young people start calling each other 'husband and wife' even when they are only dating! What would an old man like you know. And do you not know how depressed he becomes when he hears about his marriage?"

"You are right... Ever since the marriage proposed by him got rejected, he felt unwilling towards all the girls we introduced him to... Now father has even given up on expecting any grandchildren from him!"

"You mean now even he thinks that Aiden is interested in the same gender?! pfft! Hahaha! If you did not want to be so worried, why did you told him quit showbiz? You should have just let him be there and he might have also found a girl that he liked there!" Liam had a great laugh.

" I know, but he also has some responsibilities as the second son of the Smith family, right? Father also not in a very good condition now, and I am also already in my 30's. If anything ever happens to me now, it will be Aiden who will have to be the next head of the family." Ethan said sadly.

"Don't talk about such rubbish! As you just said, you are only in your 30's. Nothing will happen to you so soon. And sister-in-law is in her fifth month pregnancy. You should think about being a good husband and father now!

Since your younger brother just told us that he is going to meet his sister-in-law, maybe he is dating someone. Cheer up!"

Aiden and Ethan had a 12 year age gap in between them.

"I am going to ask him about 'her', so now I will head to the hotel he is staying at, give my regards to the people in there!" With a wink, Liam also left the place.

Maya, who had just returned after getting a bottle of water, was scared out of her wits. Sofia was missing she was not where she had left her before! "Oh God did she get kidnapped!? Sofia! Sofia! What if something happens to her! I should have listened to Uncle Ren when he asked if he should send a driver for us!"

She hurriedly looked around and found Sofia standing some distance away. It looked as if she was talking with somebody who was sitting inside a car. "Oh! Thank God!!! Here she is. Sofia! Whom are you talking to? Come back here..." Maya said as she started walking towards her.

"Sister! Look who's here!! Can you believe in such a coincidence? It is broth- Aiden!" Sofia stopped before she said 'brother-in-law' and reminded Maya that maybe there was a possibility she had called him here.

Maya came and saw at the beautiful man sitting inside the car. He was smiling back at her as he said, "What a coincidence!! Were you waiting for a taxi? Hop in! I can give you guys a free ride!"

Before Maya could say anything, Sofia pushed her into the passenger seat as she, herself sat behind alone, "Let's go brother Aiden! Can you take us to some good hotel you know?"

"In fact even I, myself was going back to my hotel. It's a nice one! Maya also knows about it right, Maya? You guys can stay there tonight." The acting done by Sofia and Aiden could be said to be that of professionals! (😂)

Maya had no words to say, "Hmm...." she nodded.

Soon they reached the hotel, "You both can get out, I will come after I park the car. Maya the receptionist already knows you by now, you can just ask her about a room, she will show you guys your way."

Not only the receptionist, but almost the entire hotel staff knew Maya by now, after all she was the first lady their Young Master had brought back and they were even together in the room!

Maya had a talk with the receptionist, she felt as if something was wrong with their behaviour but chose not to say anything about it.

As soon as she turned around, see saw a young man standing at some distance. He was shocked after looking at her. "You! You are Maya, right? Oh my god!" He then lowered his voice and continued, "Let me call Aiden! He would be so shocked after knowing who is here!"

Maya felt as if she had seen this scene somewhere else as well.
