Capítulo 12: CHAPTER TWELVE
He was already seated patiently waiting for when I arrived.
"I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting. I had a little......" He stepped in even before I could complete my statement.
"Wow, you look amazing." He said.
"Thanks." I replied blushing "You look amazing too."
There was total silence between us as Peter continued to stare at me. So uncomfortable.
"Shall we begin?" I asked to break the silence.
"Yeah, sure"
We set out to work. We had spent only an hour together and it already felt like paradise.
Shyness took over me. I bit my lips almost the whole time. I could not take my eyes of him and anytime he realized I was staring, I quickly turned to look into my book.
My heart was beating so fast I felt it would suddenly jump out of my chest and his smell.......huh😍,it just made me so high.
When he spoke, I couldn't help but smile. He had a deep charming voice, a voice any girl would fall for.
Honestly, I don't know what I learnt during that hour. Peter was all I could think of😊.
My period of happiness all came to an end when Britney called out my name,"Taylor!".
She chanced up on us when we were holding hands and looking at each other affectionately."How could you?" She said with a disappointed time and run off down the hallway.
"Sorry Peter, I've got to go." I announced. "Why? What's wrong?" He moved forward to hug me but I pushed him away and run after Britney.
She was nowhere to be found. I had asked all those around but none of them knew where my best friend passed. I called out her name hoping she would come out of hiding but to no avail.
"God please don't let her hurt herself again." I prayed. Britney was the kind that did things without giving it a second thought whenever she was angry or hurt.
She once cut herself with her paper cutter when our English tutor, Miss Hart, called her dump for not been able to answer a question she asked her.
I felt helpless and broke down in tears after searching for her for about half an hour.
Just then, Ciara appeared.
"Hey Taylor! What is wrong? Do get up please." She said and helped me on my feet.
"Where is she? Is she alright? She didn't hurt herself did she? Ciara I promise I didn't mean to hurt her, I promise." I said crying.
"Wait wait wait!! Who are you talking about? What did you do? Tay please calm down. I'm so confused"
" Brit.....Britney...where....where is she?" I stammered.
"I'm still don't know what you're talking about but Britney is alright."
"Huh?" I was confused.
"Yes Tay, I was with her a while ago and she was really happy. She didn't seem worried or sad."
"Really!?" I asked wiping my tears with a tissue I found in my pocket.
"Where is she Ciara?"
"In your room with Dion."
I said nothing more and run off the my room to see Britney.

"Oh hey Tay!" Britney said smiling.
"How was your date?" She asked and giggled.
"Yeah Tay, tell us what happened? Dion added." And don't even try to act smart with us. Tell us everything..... I mean everything." She warned making Britney laugh so hard.
" What was happening here? Was I dreaming? Why was Britney laughing instead of crying? Or wasn't she the girl that ran off after seeing I and Peter together? Was she planning something? Was that her way of taking revenge?" I thought.
"Taylor....Taylor!? Are you there?" Ciara shook me.
"Eerm.....uh...yeah....yeah....what were you saying?"
"Haha, still thinking of 'you know who' huh?"Britney laughed.
I didn't know what was happening but I decided to play along.
" Oh please, gimme a break." I said and forced out a smile.
Thankfully Ciara said nothing about what she saw....huh such a relief. Dion would have asked so many questions. Questions I wasn't to answer.
"Let's go grab some snacks shall we?" Dion asked. "I'm starving."
We all agreed to Dion's idea and headed out for the cafeteria. We talked,laughed and ate to our satisfaction and parted company.
I went to take a quick shower. I couldn't sleep that night. Britney's behavior earlier on was all I could think of. Or maybe she had forgiven me? Ah well......I said my prayers and laid on my bed until I drifted off into the world of dreams.
