Capítulo 14: #14 Rules
"It seems that my reputation precedes me but I don't think it's something truly grandiose if you will take into consideration that I started playing sports since kindergarten. Although I must say that I had problems with studying due to many missed classes because of the club tournaments." Yuichi said to Sudo once everyone quieted down a bit.
Yuichi sat down, intending to let Hirata resume the introductions but before anyone could say anything...
*creak* The doors slid open and a younger woman walked in, stopping at the front desk in front of the board.
"Everyone, take your seats" She said with quite a stern yet calm tone.
Everyone immediately took their seat and turned quiet. Yuichi observed the woman in front.
She had long brown hair tied in a ponytail with bangs swept to the left, brown eyes, and quite voluptuous body with a serious look on her face. The feeling she was giving was definitely the cold one.
'Convincing someone like that to help me join 2 clubs? I think I have a higher chance of seducing her than convincing her.' Yuichi thought with closed eyes while supporting his chin with his hands, already prepared for the worst.
"I am Chabashira Sae and I am a homeroom teacher for Class D for the next 3 years until you graduate. First, I will hand out to you a school rule book, take one and pass it back" She said and handed numerous thin books to the students sitting at the front.
When Yuichi received 2 books from the person in front of him, he took one and handed the other to a guy behind him with a nameplate on the desk [Ayanokoji Kiyotaka].
Chabashira started explaining the basic rules of how they have to live in the dorms and can't leave the campus or contact anyone outside without special permission.
While Yuichi was looking through the rule book, he noticed mentions of S-System, Class Points and also Private Points. However, no matter how much he listed it deeper, he couldn't find any explanation.
"Don't worry, even though you will be unable to leave school grounds, there is a lot of facilities that might interest you like karaoke, arcade, and many others. As for the question- "How will we pay for these?" I will now hand out ID cards that are already connected to your phone given by the school respectively. Those cards will serve also as credit cards, in this school, you won't need real money, instead, you will be using currency named Private Points. These are automatically deposited into your account on the first days of every month. Currently, all of you should already have 100.000 points in your accounts." Chabashira said while handing out the ID cards.
"Oh, and just for your imagination, 1 point equals 1 yen" Chabashira added.
The moment she said it, a little commotion broke out in the classroom since 100.000 yen per month for a high schooler was something unbelievable.
'100.000 yen per month for what? For attending the school? No school would waste resources like that, not even the school run by the government. Is she going to even explain how those points are acquired?' Yuichi thought, slightly shocked by the amount of money. Yuichi was aware that 100.000 yen for one person wasn't THAT astronomical amount of money but...there are hundreds of students in this school, he couldn't imagine them paying everyone 100.000 yen a month without students having to do anything.
'Money should serve as motivation, to do a good job in your work then there are also bonuses for surpassing the expectations. If this school is here to nurture students and prepare them for the life outside, they should have a similar philosophy' Yuichi thought however contrary to his expectations, it almost seemed like their own homeroom teacher was slightly baiting them to spend those points by saying that they will lose them all after their graduation.
Chabashira continued talking about the points and when she finally ended with a few final warnings, she looked over the classroom.
"Looks like no one has any questions. I hope that you enjoy your time here as students" Chabashira said before slowly leaving the room.
'Like seriously? Does no one have questions regarding those points? Did all that talk served as a stunner for students not to talk too much about them? Or maybe everyone simply trusts our homeroom teacher's explanation. Unfortunately, Shisho has beaten this sentence [Not everything is as it seems to be] into me too much.' Yuichi thought while getting up and walking to the doors at a quickened pace which slightly surprised everyone since he didn't even take his bag with him.
"Yuichi-kun, where are you going? It would be good if others could finish their introductions." Hirata asked hurriedly before Yuichi could leave.
"Don't mind me, I will be back in a minute, you can continue without me." Yuichi looked at him and said before leaving the classroom.
"What was that?" A few girls muttered, looking for answer at Hirata's side but he just shook his head with a helpless look on his face.

"Chabashira-sensei!" Yuichi called out with an innocent smile when he caught up to his homeroom teacher which caused her to stop walking and turn around at him with an inquiring look.
"Sensei, not to appear ungrateful or sound presumptuous, however, is Sensei sure that she has given us a proper explanation of how this school works?" Yuichi asked with a polite smile.
"Hm? You are...Iwamura Yuichi, right?" She raised her eyebrow when she heard his question before asking with an interesting look in her eyes.
'So she already researched all of the students. I wonder how much information she was given about me.' Yuichi nodded his head to confirm her statement.
"Alright, Iwamura-kun, why do you think so?" Chabashira crossed her arms right under her well-developed chest and asked with an amused expression.
'Oh? So she isn't all that serious and cold.'
"For example, Sensei has never mentioned how are we going to acquire those Private Points, there was also no mention about the so-called special feature named S-System. What about club activities? This school is surely participating in the tournaments between other schools, usually, students performing well should be rewarded in one way or another." Yuichi said with a confused expression.
"Good questions, unfortunately, I can't answer most of them yet however I can tell you that this school values its students and rewards them according to their performance." She replied with a faint smile.
'Can't answer them, huh?'
"I see, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, Chabashira-sensei. Although I can't say that Sensei's answers gave me anything related to my asked questions, still, it gave me an answer to my other questions I have yet to ask which I truly appreciate." Yuichi said mysteriously with a grateful smile before lowering his head slightly.
"If you will excuse me now..." Yuichi said and turned around to leave and Chabashira didn't stop him but she still stared at his back for a few seconds before leaving herself.
'That student is a bit strange...From the reports given to me, I only know that he is extremely gifted in athletism. There was also something else but they said that it's secret for now until they confirm it. What could possibly be that secret when even professionals couldn't see through it completely.' Chabashira thought with frowned expression.
'This school is deliberately keeping secrets from us. But it's a bit ridiculous how she can't even tell me how are those Private Points acquired. Not to mention there are 3 more classes that are perceived as superiors to us. They must also receive some additional rewards and advantages or it would have lost the meaning to sort the students by their brilliance.' Yuichi thought with stoic expression while walking back to his classroom with his eyes no longer so radiant as before.
When he slid doors open and walked in, he was already wearing his usual smile as his green eyes became radiant once again. The rest of the class introduced themselves and since there was no further program, we could go check the surroundings or return straight to the dorms.
Yuichi walked out of the classroom and Sudo quickly followed after him, Hirata was still getting to know a few people, mostly girls.
"Um, everyone, can you please excuse me? I would like to go talk to someone before he disappears" Mei said to Kushida, Inogashira, and a few more girls who were still talking to each other where they should go next.
"Eh? Hmmm..." One of the girls named Sato Maya actually turned towards the door and then back at Mei with a suspicious expression.
"W-What?" Mei asked a bit uncomfortable by her staring.
"Mei-san, you look very innocent but you are actually quite competitive, right? You want to be first to get to know Yuichi-kun to have a headstart, right?" Sato asked with a grin while placing her chin in the arch between her thumb and index finger.
"W-What?! N-Not at all! We already know each other from Junior High!" Mei's face grew red after hearing Sato's words so she hurriedly explained with a raised voice.
Everyone was surprised by this information even Hirata's group stopped talking as they looked towards their group.
"Eh?! In that case, don't let us stop you, Mei-san. However, we want you to tell us more about Yuichi-kun later!" Another girl named Matsushita Chiaki said with a small giggle at the end clearing the path for Mei.
Mei rushed out of the classroom to caught up to Yuichi.
"Sato-san, how did you even know that Yuichi-kun left the room just recently that you deduced Mei-san wants to talk to him of all people?" Matsushita asked with a smirk.
"Oh? Um, well...you know..." Sato blushed a bit while scratching her cheek with her index finger.
"Matsushita-san, don't act like you are different, you were also paying attention to him when he was leaving the classroom! Hihi" Another girl said while doing her best to suppress her giggles.
"I-ugh, t-that's not true! I just happened to look there at the same moment he left' Matsushita replied with a red face from embarrassment.
