It was soft and moist with a hint of jasmine and mint. That is what Curt felt when he suddenly kissed Jenny Mae. She was also taken aback and wanted to push Curt away. However, for some unknown reason, she felt a bit closer towards him and did not feel disgusted.
Curt suddenly feels her kissing back at him and the two deepen their kiss unconsciously. Suddenly, Jenny Mae leaned back and her arms are already on Curt's neck dragging him towards her.
Then there was a gunshot and a sound of bullets whizzing above them was clearly heard by the two.
Curt did not hesitate and immediately lifted his rifle and squeeze the trigger.
Bang!
The armed man who aimed at them flew back with a single bullet on his forehead.
Curt assisted Jenny Mae to stand up and the two showed blush on their faces.
"Umm… Let's go…" Curt was reluctant to stop didn't have a choice.
He would just savor the kiss and wish that he could have another one next time.
With a smile on his face, he nodded her head. Seeing him, Jenny Mae subconsciously looks down and also nodded her head. She didn't know why she is feeling shy now? She was not like this before. She was a strong and independent woman, why would she blush in front of him?
"Is… is it because of the… kiss?" she subconsciously asked herself.
"You lead… I'm not familiar with your school." Curt said with a sheepish smile.
Realizing what he means, Jenny Mae, woke up from her stupor and immediately shifted her concentration to the current circumstances.
The two ran to the entrance of the college. Though the college is protected by an energy dome, the armed men were still able to enter the school by forcing their way at the main and back entrance.
As the two arrive at the main entrance, Curt saw two giant figures being assaulted by espers and soldiers. But it seems that they are unable to defeat those two while many armed men are backing the two giants from the rear.
Curt did not hesitate, as the only way in is through the now well-guarded gate by the armed men. So he suddenly stopped and then aimed at the tallest giant which is giving the soldiers and espers the greater pressure.
Bang!
Infusing his energy in the bullet, it flew towards the giant. The energy ruptures its thick skin and the metallic part of the bullet bore through its thick skull.
The bigger of the two giants suddenly stopped and then fell to the ground lifeless.
Suddenly, Jenny Mae grabs Curt's arm.
"Follow me…" she said as the two ran towards another passage.
They are going through a portion of a wall that is hidden from plain sight. Then in that wall, there is a hole for air-conditioning. The two passed through that place and stealthily enters the campus.
As the two enters, they could see the chaos happening inside. They could see the student who has already awakened their esper power fighting against the armed men.
On the ground, they can see both students and armed men lying. They didn't know if those people are still alive or already dead. But they did not stop and Curt followed Jenny Mae towards an area.
From where they are standing, they could see a group of armed men numbering around 30 and they are forcing their way towards a certain building.
"That is the gym… That is where we practice our esper power… that building is not easily breached." Jenny Mae said while observing the situation in secret.
Curt also observed and then noticed a figure amongst the armed men. Curt has already encountered the person before hence he is already familiar with his aura. It was the same person whom he left who was supposed to be eaten by the giant snake. Seeing that person in this place now made him feel in awe of the esper's resiliency.
"I will take down their leader, and we will both attack the rest," Curt said as he prepares his rifle.
Checking the magazine, he still has a lot as he did not spend too much ammunition in shooting his rifle. With a nod of his head, he carefully takes aim and relaxes his breathing.
Since the shirt rifle does not have a long-range scope and only uses a red dot for a crosshair, he has to use his ability to supplement the rifle's weakness.
As he prepares to fire, he could see that the students inside the buildings are fighting back. From his viewpoint, he could also see some students getting hit by bullets even though they are able to wield the esper power.
Bang!
The sound of a rifle was drowned by the rapid shooting of the armed men as they attack the building.
Ale'bo who has survived the snake angrily attacks the students inside the room with his water spear and water bullets. He has already hit many students and this made him want to hit more. So his attacks are very critical and grievous.
His experience with the giant snake made him want to take his revenge on these esper students. He wanted to slaughter them all to appease his anger.
Then he would show this to that masked man and the other espers protecting this city. He would show them that he Ale'Bo is not an ordinary esper that they could humiliate and gets away with it. He would always exact his revenge and he promises to kill those who stand in his way.
But all of this was at the back of his mind when he suddenly discovers something hitting his head with a strong force.
He saw himself flying towards the front line and a fireball from a student was coming towards him.
He wanted to dodge; he wanted to move his hand to block that fireball. But his body would not move, and the last thing he remembers is the burning feeling of that fireball hitting his face and burning his eyes, mouth, neck, up to his body.
The armed men suddenly stopped attacking upon discovering their leader's burning corpse.
But before they could gather their wits before them, several fireballs the size of a fist rained behind them.
Jenny Mae grabs the chance that the enemy is distracted and suddenly launches her ambush.
Meanwhile, Curt slump weakly leaning on the wall as he feels his body devoid of strength. Since he is alone in the side of the hallway beside a ground floor classroom, he took out a few crystals and began absorbing them.
"I should not use my energy anymore… I think this rifle would suffice to stop those people." Curt thought as he forces himself to stand up.
As soon as he was able to stand, he immediately noticed people hiding inside the classroom. Although they are trying to quietly hide, they could not escape Curt's sharp senses.
He slowly peeks inside and saw two young men and a couple of young women huddled in the corner.
When the group saw someone peeking inside, they were all scared. However, they soon noticed the clothing of Curt and recognize that it is a soldier's uniform.
"Are… are you a soldier?" asked one of the women.
Curt did not reply immediately and suddenly looks at the two men.
"You two are powerful esper, so you should stay here for a while and protect these girls. It is still chaotic outside…" Curt said then closes the door.
He didn't have time to babysit these people, so he decided to leave. Upon seeing the outcome of the battle, Curt was a bit surprised.
Jenny Mae is really as strong esper. Although her skill in close combat is lacking, yet her ability to control her and use her esper power is really amazing and superb.
Bang! Bang!
Curt suddenly fire two bullets at the two who wanted to shot Jenny Mae at her back.
After getting rid of the armed men, Curt and Jenny Mae walked closer to the building.
"Stop… Who are…" someone wanted to attack the two but stopped when they noticed the soldier uniform of Curt.
Then some people from the building suddenly open the door and quickly ran out. The two cried in Jenny Mae's arms.
"Jenny… I was so scared…" Loo Crystal Noah cried while hugging Jenny Mae.
"I thought we would never see each other again…" Kathy Dee who is also hugging her added.
But Jenny Mae already knew that one of them is wounded but it seems that someone heals Crystal's wounds. Only the stain of blood on her blouse was left.
"Let's head inside first, we don't know if there are still enemies around here." Curt suddenly reminded the three as he carefully observes their surroundings.
Following his advice, the three went inside the building. Curt and Jenny Mae saw the condition of the students inside the building and feel a bit concerned. Jenny Mae went with her friends as she met with her teacher and other faculty staff.
Meanwhile, Curt did not linger and directly went to the place where they put the wounded students. In one of the large rooms of the gym, many students are currently lying with different wounds in their bodies.
Curt saw the condition inside and immediately feels saddened. Although this is not of his concern but as someone who lives in Kor city and a citizen of the city, he feels the need to help those heavily wounded people.
His eyes caught a severely wounded student with one of her arms missing. It seems that she already fainted and he could even see her arms wrapped on the side. But the one trying to heal her is already showing fatigue and it seems that all of his energy is already depleted.
But he is still forcing himself to heal her wounds with tears in his eyes.
From that scene, he could tell that the man seems to feel deep concern for the woman lying on the bed.
Curt did not want to just watch and wanted to help, but then someone suddenly grabs his shoulder from behind.
When his eyes shifted towards the person, he suddenly saw a fist coming towards his face.
