Capítulo 8: Mother and Daughter and First Time Jump
Medaka is naive in many things but not stupid in others. Although she accepted the engagement, she insisted that I give her a ring. I don't want to complicate this any further, so I created one with my newly acquired powers from the Demon King.

A ring appeared in my hand. It was beautiful and shiny but discreet. I put the ring on Medaka, and she seemed to have another mental short circuit. It took her two minutes to assimilate the situation. She stared at the ring in her hand for a while before looking at me with teary eyes and red cheeks.
"Thank you~" Medaka directed a beautiful smile at me that seemed to be enveloped in light, although it might just be my imagination.

I feel strange. My heart beats a little faster, and my mind is not clear. Most of all, my face is a little hot. I don't remember being so close to anyone other than my grandparents before.

After we both calmed down, we entered my house. We sat in the living room, and I prepared some cocoa for both of us with my version of telekinesis.
"I guess I don't need this..." Medaka took out a paper, but I stopped her before she tore it.
"Where did you get this?!" I snatched the document from Medaka almost screaming when I saw the paper. It was a marriage certificate. A real marriage certificate, filled out and only missing my signature.
She tilted her head in confusion - "I asked for it at the registry office, and they made it for me" - Medaka replied, not understanding.
It's true that in this country, or rather, in this world, strength is power and influence, especially when someone Is a Omega level, but is something like this okay? Who's the idiot who allowed this?.

Medaka looked at me relaxed and with a smile sitting on a chair while taking the cocoa cup from the air "By the way... how many wives are you going to have, Jiren?"

I couldn't help but spit out my drink. I had never done that before, but Medaka's comment was so surreal that I couldn't help it. I looked at the girl with wide eyes.
"Mmm they can't be less than seven, my father said that only a better man than him deserves to be my husband, so you should have at least eight wives," Medaka looked at me with doubt and furrowed eyebrows," also, my brother made me promise that the man I choose as a husband must have a harem, with at least one queen, one goddess, one elf, one demon, one female spirit or ghost, a cute angel, and maybe two legal lolis or I will never get married. "There's nothing to explain. We are husband and wife... Mother." Medaka replied without hesitation. I expected nothing less from the Little Princess. She didn't hesitate to declare our relationship. For Medaka, our engagement is an achievement and pride that should not be hidden.

I have no interest in seeing a Minus power born in my mother or Medaka undergo a new transformation.

After sighing, I continued speaking without disturbing the atmosphere, "Mom, first of all, you already know how this world is. You can almost do anything if you have enough power. "It can't be..." Hitomi lost her color and slumped onto the sofa, while Medaka put on a face of 'I won'.

"Mom, rest assured that I won't go anywhere," I said.
I couldn't leave her after accepting her as my mother. Although she wasn't the best mother, it was nice to be with her and, above all, she loved me sincerely.
"Do you swear?" asked Hitomi with teary eyes.
"I've never broken my word," I replied with total honesty.
"I love you so much, Jiren-chan!~" Hitomi hugged me around the waist and rubbed her cheek against my chest.
Then I looked at Medaka, "Medaka, you can come over anytime, even to spend the night, but try to behave."
"Understood," Medaka nodded her head before smiling. "And I'm sorry, Hitomi-san."
Hitomi watched Medaka in silence for a moment before frowning a bit and then sighing. "Medaka, why don't you stay for dinner?" I could feel the slight reluctance in Hitomi's words, but she made an effort to accept Medaka, so I'm grateful for that.
"Yes, mother!"
"I'm not your mother!"
Well, it's a start. I hope these two will get along better over time.

"A new power I obtained," I checked my hand as I spoke. I could feel something mystical running through my arm.
"I can see that, but what did you do now to fix the table?" Hitomi looked me in the eyes, expecting an answer.
Hitomi is a researcher who deals with many Abnormals, Minuses, and Espers, so she knows what they're capable of. Fixing objects or pulling things out of thin air is something common for her, but this time was different. Rivide is magic that controls the flow of time.
"The simple answer is Time Magic."
"Time manipulation?" Hitomi put on a serious face as she delved into her thoughts.
I looked at my mother, who seemed abnormally serious... Wait, it's true, what did I just do? Is this the power I obtained from the Demon King? I used it so naturally that I didn't even realize it!
What a strange feeling, it was like knowing how to fly a plane unconsciously. Unlike my willpower, which needs a clear objective to work, this power can even be used unconsciously.
I touched my head as I remembered what happened. At that moment, these 'magic words' or whatever they were appeared in my mind out of nowhere.
That's what I get for not investigating my power first, although I have to say that a large part of the blame lies with Medaka. What bad timing to come for a visit.

During this time, Medaka's visits were almost daily. I dare say she spends more time in my house than in hers, not that I mind.
Without realizing it, someone like me who lived isolated all his life enjoyed this life despite the fact that this world is crazy. My life is relatively peaceful, Hitomi is with me every day, we eat, watch something on TV, play, we bathe together, we even sleep together etc. Having such a close relationship with her, I got used to the idea of having a family.
With Medaka, I do almost the same things as with Hitomi, of course there are fights over who I should sleep with at night but nothing excessive. Although I spend more time outside with Medaka. I go everywhere to visit museums, cinemas, monuments, parks, etc.
"What are those kids doing inside the lion cage?!"

The screams of the people were understandable, after all, Medaka and I were inside the lion habitat trying to pet one.
"Come here, kitty, kitty, don't be afraid~" - Medaka approached the lion to pet it, but the lion was terrified and had climbed up a tree.
"Meow" - On the other hand, I was surrounded by lionesses that wanted to be petted.
"Is it unfair that they are only afraid of me?!" - Medaka complained loudly, making the lion tremble and climb the tree even higher.
"Prrrr~" - I petted a lioness while ignoring Medaka's tantrum. By the way, I didn't know that lions purr and say meow, but it doesn't matter. I had to do something before the police or the media arrived.

As I said before, superhumans are known in this world and no one is surprised to see people flying, but the current situation is different. For starters, Medaka and I are not very well known due to our age. Obviously, people know of my existence, but not what I look like or anything else.

By the way, it didn't take me much time to understand my power in these two years, at least the topic of magic. You know that I not only received magic from the Demon King, but everything in general, and some things are incredible.
I draw my magic power from my root or source. I can't see the amount of magic power I have, in fact, most of it is sealed by [Protection] because it is uncontrollable for me at the moment. I have to get used to it little by little so that I can use more magic power and consequently more powerful magic.
Unlike normal people who have souls, my root is the core of my existence. I can reincarnate over and over again because my existence is preserved there, and that's just the tip of the iceberg of what a root or source is.
I also have to say that the amount of magic I know is crazy, and apparently, I don't have all the types of magic available. It's like they're behind a door that I can't access. It must be the work of [Protection] because it considers them dangerous for me at this moment.
"Why? uhh~" Medaka was on her knees wondering what she did wrong. I don't like seeing her like this.
Perhaps I can do something, although this magic was made with the intention of hiding magical power and someone's existence, if I modify it, I should be able to hide only Medaka's predatory presence.

"Jiren?" Medaka came out of her depression when she saw a circle appear at her feet. The only reason she's not on guard is because she felt it was my magical power responsible.
A bright light surrounded Medaka for a moment, and she looked at me confusedly. "Did you do something?"
"Try it now..." I didn't need to say more, Medaka understood and stood up, looking at one of the lionesses around me. Her intention was clear - she was going to pet it.
Now that I think about it, it seems like she and I are starting to develop unspoken communication between us.

The lioness roared ferociously at Medaka. Did Najira fail? No, that's impossible, the magic clearly worked. Then... could it have been me?
"Ohh, I see... you want to die." she began to emanate a terrible killing intent, frightening the animals.
I have to get Medaka out of here before she kills the lionesses. "Yeah, that's enough zoo visit for today, let's go, Medaka." I picked her up and took us home.

What happened was simple - two females fighting for their territory... I don't know if I should feel flattered or not by this. One thing's for sure, my visits to the zoo will decrease.
