Capítulo 6: Understanding
Lilith leads Shiro all around the city. Going through the town like a maze they both soon confront an alleyway.
"Wait here." Lilith says walking up to the wall. You can see her using magic, with the wall soon disappearing with a bright light taking its place.
"Only people that know the password can activate it." She says walking back to shiro.
"What is it?" Shiro says.
"You can say it's a portal, since it isn't very smart to have the base in the city. We just have many access points."
"What a very intricate base. No wonder no one has found this."
"Yup for now that is, so let's go."
"I never said I was going with you all the way." Shiro explains.
"Well now that you know about this, I have no choice but to force you."
Lilith is seen activating a green magic circle. Soon Shiro feels very sleepy. His eyes are getting droopy.
"What did you do!" Shiro yells out.
"Nothing really, it's just sleeping gas."
Shiro soon falls to the floor, blacking out.
The next day.
Shiro wakes up sporadically.
"Where am I!?" He yells out.
He started to look around the room he magically appeared in. It was quite big, the walls were white, and the floor was tiled with a black color.
'Oh right I was in an alleyway and… That stupid girl did this. She put me to sleep, and kidnapped me.'
"So you are awake now." a voice can be heard in the distance walking closer. Revealing herself it was Lilith. She was dressed in a tan uniform with a black skirt. She had the same wolf crest on the left side of her chest.
"Why the fuck did you do that!" Shiro yells.
"Well I had no choice, just like you to me, I can't trust you at all with the information you know." Lilith explains. "And I'm not just going to kill you, just imprison you until you can decide to work with us."
"I am not working with demons. You don't understand what I have been through so get off my case already." Shiro says.
"And you understand what I have been through!" Lilith says with anger. "You see everyone here has had a problem with "demons" or the Black Council. We are working to reform the world, we aren't simply working with demons. They are working with us to put an end to this madness."
Lilith sits next to Shiro.
"I was born in the city of Carcasir, in a small house with just my mom and dad. At the time I was eight in the years 104… Everything went to shit. The Black Council completely rampaged the city. I lost my family to them!...."
"I thought Carcasir was attacked by demons?" Shiro says.
"Well yes, but no. You see the Black Council is working with some "Demon" factions. I have suspicion to believe that the leader may as well be a Demon."
"That's really hard to believe, that was a big catastrophe. And you are saying that humans are the cause of it?" Shiro says with confusion on his face.
"You don't have to believe me. I saw them.. The Black Council slaughtered innocent people. They were disguised hiding themselves in the confusion. They planned this all out to take over Carcasir and it worked! They probably plan to do the same to this city soon."
"This is just too much to take in." Shiro says.
"There are some more people here that were at Carcasir when it happened. They will tell you the same thing."
"I don't know if I don't believe you, I mean you wouldn't put this much effort into this if it wasn't for something. I just don't know how much I can trust demons yet." Shiro says.
"That's fine, you will soon understand what the people here are like." Lilith stands up and reaches out her hand to help him up.. "By the way you never told me your name?"
"It's Shiro, sorry about that I totally forgot to mention it." He then grabs her hand pulling himself up.
"Shiro huh? What a nice name for someone like you. How about I show you around the place, since you are going to be here for a while."
"That's fine, I guess…."
"First, let's get you some new clothes. Those clothes are just way too dirty looking" Lilith then picks up a tan uniform, the same as hers. Black pants and black shoes.
"Here put these on." Lilith says.
"What is this."
"Just a casual uniform the knights wear here. It looks better than what you are wearing, no offense but I would put it on so you don't stand out."
"Fine, it's better to have something different then these beat up clothes." Shiro sluggishly walks over to the clothes.
"I will wait out in the hall." Lilith walks out the door.
"Ahh, I just keep digging myself deeper. What is all of this? What did I come back to after a year. How did this all happen while I knew nothing the whole time."
He then proceeds to put on the uniform he was given by Lilith and headed out the door.
"Well doesn't it look good on you." Lilith says with a smile.
"Shut up.."
"Hey I was just complimenting you.. Let's get going now, It is a pretty big place." Lilith says.
The two of them begin to walk down the halls to the main entrance of the dorms.
"By the way I never had the chance to ask, but what is that magic you use." Lilith asks with curiosity on her face.
"Enhancement." Shiro says
"Enhancements? Really. I never saw inscriptions like that.
"Well, It is something I taught myself from when I was alone for many years. I had nothing to do, so I just started messing around with enhancement magic."
"I never knew it could be used like that. Especially the look of those inscriptions, they looked different from normal ones, and to be used on your body like that. Enhancement is usually used as support."
"It really isn't anything special, I guess no one really paid attention to the potential of this magic." Shiro says.
"Where were you born, what did you do be.."
"Look can you stop, I really don't want to talk about my past right now." Shiro says annoyed.
"Fine... let's go."
'Damn she talks a lot.'
They both leave the dorms walking around the entire base. She shows him where they eat, where they go to train.
"What is this place? Seems more like a school." Shiro says
"It is a place to train knights. It isn't like everyone knows how to fight like you." Lilith says.
"Right… Why are there classrooms?" Shiro says.
"Each classroom is a subdivision. You see we break up people in groups for the requirements they meet. Each subdivision also has multiple teams." Lilith explains.
"Why so many teams, why not work alone."
"Alone? Are you really that dumb to think you stand a chance in every fight alone. You need teamwork to really stand a chance in tight situations." Lilith says.
"Well didn't you try to fight alone." Shiro says with a grin.
'That's different, I was just trying to protect everyone."
"Well I didn't ask for you to protect me, so I could have helped." Shiro says.
A girl can be seen running at Lilith, and then she hugged her.
"Lilith you are back, where were you." The girl says. She wore the same uniform as Lilith. She had bright blonde hair, hazel eyes, pointed ears.
"I was out waiting for Dion to bring back a enslaved warbeat… And things kinda took a turn." Lilith says.
"Well I am glad you are ok, I was getting worried. I haven't seen you for a day." The girl looks over at Shiro. "Who is this weird ugly looking guy?"
"Who the fuck you calling weird you demon." Shiro yells.
She sticks her tongue out at Shiro.
"Settle down Shiro, you need to learn to get along with demons eventually." Lilith says.
"She started it, I was only responding…"
Lilith is seen putting her hand on her forehead in frustration.
"Ok let's start over. This Elf here is Maki, she is from Arcrine. Maki this is Shiro, he is from the unknown… Now shake hands."
"I am not shaking this filthy human hand." Maki walks away. "See you later Lilith, I have my team training to get to."
'What a bitch.'
"Sorry about that, she isn't very good with first impressions." Lilith says.
"Yea no kidding, not a very likable personality."
"I swear she is better, you just need to get to know her." Lilith waves towards Shiro. "Let's get going, I still have more to show you."
Many hours pass from Lilith showing Shiro around the rest of the grounds.
"Wow it's already midday. Time really goes by quickly." Lilith says. "Are you hungry by any chance, because I am starving?"
"No not really." Shiro says.
"Really you haven't eaten all day, are you sure." Lilith looked worried.
'I haven't eaten normal human food in forever, I guess it would be suspicious if I never eat.'
"Yea, I guess I can eat something."
"Awesome, let's head over to the cafeteria."
Lilith starts her journey over to the cafeteria with Shiro following behind. When they are about to reach the door they get approached.
"Hello, I didn't expect to see you two here already." says a voice walking up to the two. With a warbeast behind him.
"Dion! It's so nice to see you. Lilith says with a happy expression.
Dion was wearing instead of the normal tan uniform, it was red.
"I see that the kid is here too." Dion says waving at Shiro.
"So you work here, is that it?" Shiro says.
"Yea, sorry about lying to you. I mean I am a blacksmith but I make stuff for the Sanctuary."
"Ahh why did you tell him the name, I didn't even get to that yet." Lilith says with a pouting face.
"Sorry, sorry. Ms. Guide." Dion says.
"Well I assumed she showed you around everywhere by now… As you can see this is a base for everyone fighting against the government's corruption… The Black Council." Dion says seriously. "I don't know what Lilith has explained, but the Black Council is trying to control everything, even other races' cities."
"You mean this isn't just circulated around humans?" Shiro says.
"Well yes, that's why we got so many different races here. A lot of the people here have a grudge against the Black Council for what they have done."
"What did they do to you?" Shiro asks.
"Nothing, I don't need a reason to see the corruption the government has caused." Dion says. "By the way I am glad I found you, me and this girl here wanted to thank you for your help. I honestly wasn't sure if you were going to come or not."
A girl warbeast behind Dion can be seen peeking out. She was the same one from the wagon. She looked very shy and timid, she was wearing the Sanctuary's tan uniform.
"This little one's name is Ren, she just wanted to say thank you."
The fox warbeast comes out from behind Dion.
"Uw. Thank you mister." Ren says.
"Yea, yea. It isn't like I did it for y."
Lilith hits the side of Shiro with her elbow, smiling at him.
"I mean no problem, It was nothing." Shiro says, looking at Lilith irritated.
Ren goes up to hug Shiro.
"Whoa, whoa. Not so touchy. I don't want you near me."
"Do you hate me?" Ren says.
"Ye..No. I mean I don't know." Shiro says trying not to spark any anger.
"Then this should be fine." Ren hugs him still and goes back to Dion.
"Well I gotta get going, I assume I will see you around. And Ren here probably wouldn't mind that." Dion says.
"Okay, we will see you around." She waves to Dion, Dion and Ren waved back as they walked in the distance.
"Finally we can go eat. Let's head inside." Lilith says.
The two of them walk towards the entrance to the cafeteria.
Shiro suddenly stopped, grabbing his head.
"Ugh why now." Shiro says. "Has it really been that long."
"Are you okay Shiro?"
"Yea I am fine…" Shiro says.
His hair starts to turn to a pure silver color.
"Have you always had silver highlights?" Lilith says.
Shiro was surprised seeing his hair changed.
'I guess not even this necklace can prevent my bloodlust.'
"I need to go." Shiro says running off.
"Wait!" Lilith says.
Shiro starts running back to the dorm room he woke up in. He barges inside, and runs straight towards the bathroom.
"Great, I made it in time." He says out of breath. His hair is almost all silver, his eyes red. "Dammit, I guess I have no choice, but to take it off for now."
He proceeds to take off the necklace. What appears is a petite girl wearing a gothic dress. She had long silver hair with a small black and red flower hair clip on the left side her head. She also had red eyes.
"Been awhile since I have relaxed in this form." She walks out of the bathroom. The front door soon swung open..
"Are you here Shiro." Lilith says. The two then meet eyes.
"Who are you? Lilith says.
