Capítulo 51: Chp 51:Drink!
Lucas's POV:
My sudden embarrassment from the carry left me speechless. However, I did enjoy it whenever Evan did this, it showed that even if he himself is tired, he will always carry me.
We were saying our goodbyes and thank yous to Ren and Layla, when a certain someone woke up at terrible timing.
Robert woke up and within an instant he flung himself off of Rens grasp, darting straight towards me and Evan.
Everyone was stunned by the quick movements he was making. We hardly had any time to react. However, Layla managed to block his course to us and yelled, "Oh no you don't!" She rose her foot into the air, ready to strike him down.
Robert charged in with full force, only to jump up within 5cm away from her risen leg. He jumped over all of us, leaving us in a slight daze. Seeing as how he lost his chance, he ran far off into the distance. Layla was going to chase after him but was holted by Ren.
"Let him go." Ren sighed.
"Why brother? He's getting away!" She yelled in perplexity.
We laid confused eyes on Ren. 'What was Ren thinking? Wouldn't Robert just come back one day and retry all of this again but better?'
"He won't get very far with his state and I placed a tracker on him earlier, incase of something like this." Ren spoke with certainty. There he was, Ren with his calm thinking and caution. 'Did this guy ever take any risks? Nevermind that, I suppose I'm lucky he's like that, otherwise I might've still been down there.'
Ren stated he would track Robert down and secure him safely by himself, whilst Layla helped us getting back home.
She grabbed the both of us, breaking the hold Evan had around me. Evan clung to her back and she carried me in her arms like a princess again.
'Seriously!? Is that the only way people know to carry me by?'
We arrived home quickly, thanks to Layla.
Although we were both embarrassed from our position, we still thanked her.
She nodded in and hesitantly darted out.
She cared for us and yet was still worried over her brother.
I seem to of mistaken her intentions. I used to think she hated me, but I think she just has a hard time dealing with her emotions. Which is why she can come off quite scary at times and kind in others.
I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard the fridge door opening and a sudden thud hit the floor. My heart sank at the sight.
Evan collapsed. I rushed over as fast as I could screaming out his name. He was unresponsive, but still breathing.
Now that I look at him fully, his body look malnourished and his skin lost it's natural healthy glow.
In a panic, I sliced my wrist with a knife on the countertop and held it to his mouth. "Drink it you bastard!" I yelled, tears streaming down my chin.
Red crimson droplets fell into Evan's mouth, his fangs protruded from the sensation. His body instantly reacted, grabbing my arm closer to his mouth and piercing my flesh.
He used no venom of his, so each gulp of blood he took I could feel right down to my bones. It was painful, not as painful as what I just experienced but it was much worse than when he usually drunk from me.
But the pain didn't bother me, I was just glad that He was drinking and living again. The moment he collapsed I'm sure my heart stopped beating.
I embraced him tighter as he continued to drain me, patting his head with reassurance.
