Capítulo 48: Chp 48:Pain
Lucas's POV:
When I came to, my eyes instantly met with Evans that were located quite a distance away from me. However he was there and tears rolled down my cheeks. 'He came for me!'
"Evan!" I sobbed. I wanted so badly to run over and embrace him. But my hands were restricted was again, this time to a wall.
"Lucas! I promise to get us out of here!" His comforting words filled my heart with hope. All that pain, It left me dwindled with nothing left.
"I'm just glad I got to see you again." I sobbed agian, tears not compelled to stop anytime soon. But a smile creeped its way onto my lips and a chuckle escaped me. I was so happy.
Evan just smiled weakly at me and chuckled slightly at my ugly display of emotions.
"Did you really miss me that much my kitten?" He teased, only making me yearn for him more. His teasing even felt comforting to me. Evan was everything to me.
He watched my emotional break down and somehow managed to shut me up. Evan informed me of the message he sent to Layla and Ren and that they would undoubtedly come to the rescue.
Evan put so much faith into those two. Even if Layla didn't particularly like me that much she would still come to our rescue, that was admirable of her.
I was astonished that Evan actually thought ahead of time though. He realized that he was much weaker compared to Robert and managed to send a message to others for help. He still rushed in to save me recklessly. But him by my side made every passing moment feel like heaven.
I would of completely forgotten we were locked up in here if it wasn't for the burning sensation building in my neck, dispersing into my entire body this time.
I knew it was gonna hurt alot more this time but I attempted to keep a straight face. I didn't want Evan to worry. He would blame himself if he saw me in pain, I'm sure of it.
Sweat began to form on my forehead and my breathing became more frequent and hotter. My whole body was flushed red.
It hurt. It hurt so bad. But I continued to make eye contact with Evan. His Giant Emerald eyes were more than enough to reduce my pain.
"You're in pain aren't you?"
Evan spoke in a sorrowful voice. He was blaming himself, just like I guessed.
"Nah, I'm fine. I'm sure you're in more pain then me, your wrists are burning constantly!" I diverted the conversation, attempting to bring him some comfort with my words.
"This is nothing. You are the one who is hurting, and it's all because of me!" He rose his voice, eyes threatening to shed tears. He dropped his head in shame, ceasing eye contact with me.
The pain instantly fell onto me all at once and I let out a scream of agony, followed by heavy panting. Evan instantly looked back up in shock.
"Don't you dare blame yourself for this!" I spoke quickly with anger and heavy pants. "And don't you stop looking into my eyes. It hurts." I paused again, catching my breath. "But it hurt alot more when you weren't here. You give me strength and hope." I ended with a smile as I panted my heart out, calming myself in his eyes.
He blinked in disbelief at my sudden outburst. But soon smiled back at me.
Echoes of a distant fight breaking out entered my ears, bringing my attention to the noise.
"They're here" I chuckled, panting some more.
