50% An Aliens Captive / Chapter 15: Chapter 14 My Anchor

Capítulo 15: Chapter 14 My Anchor

When I came back to my senses I realized two main things. One, we landed on top of another alien ship, and two, we're far, far away from the north pole.

I gaped at the sight below me. It was New York City. It all looked so Apocalyptic with buildings that have fallen apart with a smoky gray sky above. The stench of death and decay was so prominent in the air. The damage and destruction that had been done were shocking. I couldn't see a single human soul that was alive. I could see armies Of Zakerian warriors patrolling the streets beneath us.

I looked at Azreal, his gaze on the people below. His face was stoic and emotionless in a way that unnerved me.

A strong gust of wind blew and I was still on my knees holding onto the ship beneath me. We were at the very top, overlooking the disaster that was happening beneath us.

Azreal took a step towards me and reached out to me once again. I slapped his massive hand away stumbling back. If I wasn't careful I would fall off this ship and die instantly. But more than falling, being touched by him would be even more terrifying. considering the mass homicide that happened not so long ago.

"I'm not in the mood to play around Aurora. Give me your hand." He growled out lowly. I clutched my injured arm to my chest. Shaking. wishing I was anywhere but here.

He reached out to me again and I evaded him once more. In a fit of annoyance, Azreal grabbed me roughly by my wrist and held me towards the edge of the ship. My feet dangling in mid-air.

I looked down at the epic fall beneath me. He looked like he planned to drop me any second.

My heart drummed rapidly in my chest.

Was he going to kill me? Out of all the times he could have done it he chooses to do so now?

"I need you to behave now more than ever. Do you understand me Aurora? Don't test my patience. Not today." He says with his voice laced with hidden venom.

I nod my head in fear, not wanting to fall to my death and this was the first time he addressed me in such a voice. He pulls me away from the edge and sits me down. The sound of the wind blew harshly in my ears.

Azreal knelt before me and proceeded to pick out the tiny glass embedded in my palm. It was so painful but I chose not to look at him or make a sound. I didn't understand him. He threatened to kill me and now he's helping with my injury?

What kind of mind games do these aliens play?

After he was done Azreal took my hand in his giant ones, his fingers going in between mine. Our fingers intertwine and he rests his forehead against mine. I looked at his face, so close, long silver lashes fluttering as his green eyes closed.

There was a strange black glow and the pain went away instantly.

I was healed.

Azreal stood up and a leash appeared in his hands.

I remembered the collar around me and panicked.

No! I do not want to be on a leash like some dog.

"Come." He commands taking a step towards me.

"Wait, I'll behave! I swear! please don't put that on me I hate it so much." I plead.

he stared at me blankly.

"I-I won't run away. I promise. I won't survive out there anyway." I stammered, hoping my words would reach him.

Cocking his head to the side he observed me passively for a second. The Azreal who constantly looked at me with slight amusement and curiosity had completely vanished within the past few hours. Here before me, his aura was different. Frightening.

He nods his head slowly and turns around.

The floor beneath starts to glow in a circle around us and acts as an elevator. we're taken down slowly and I find myself inside an alien ship for the second time in my life.

There were long hallways ahead of us.

Azreal starts walking, his long white cloak billowing behind him as he walked ahead.

I struggled to keep up with his long strides.

I looked ahead and saw the hallways splitting up into different sections.

"Stay close to me at all times Aurora. We're in the enemy's base."

Enemy? All of you are my enemy, including you. I thought to myself solemnly.

I reached out and held his cloak as we walked so that we won't be separated. He stopped for a second and looked down at me. flashing a small smile. I would've missed it if I wasn't so focused on his every move.

"Good girl," he states before walking ahead.

My cheeks flushed and I frowned at myself.

Get it together Aurora.

I walked close behind him, his cloak clutched in my hand tightly. It felt like the only thing that could anchor me to this new world I've been forced into.

Dread pooled in my stomach at the thought of all the unknowns that could happen next as I followed Azreal into the darkness.
