Mina calmly sat on the bed, watching Ian destroy the guest room with a smirk on her face. She was limited in what she could do with a basic smartphone, but she was certain the man noticed that her businesses were stabilizing, and she was making money again. She knew he would never find the phone, simply because she had hidden it with the small collection of baby items she had in the guestroom. He was constantly trying to 'show' her that he loved her and 'their' baby by bringing her gifts, toys, and books that she barely glanced at, and by default, it meant that the man would never suspect her of hiding anything within them.

"Want me to stand up?" Mina mockingly asked, moving off the bed so that he could look for a phone within the bedding.

"Babe, please stop this. I know you want to leave me, and I understand why, but you can't expect me to just let you walk away."
