Capítulo 636: Aftermath

Upon our return to Earth, three days immediately passed. Like my father suggested, I let them handle the aftermath of that battle. He only informed me of the result when he finally returned along with Lauren, Chang, and the other three Rank 4 Transcendents that the sly old man brought with him.

Among the captured Rank 4 Transcendents, two died upon transport. They said those two had methods they used to break the chains and tried to escape when they got the chance.

Even with the sly old man's Clairvoyance, he failed to anticipate the exact timing of it or how it would happen so he just stood guard and blocked the two.

In the ensuing fight, they decided to self-destruct, burning their lifespan and even their Pathway Attainment to kill the old man.

Lucky him, he only got injured but he needed a lot of time to recuperate.
