Capítulo 41: 32. Prologue (Betrayal)

There once lived a king shrouded in glory,

Vying nothing but a chance of peace,

She remained hated,

She remained unloved,

Scarred past with no hopes of trust,

But then a miracle stood amongst her despair,

A dragon rose,

Calling forth the king with hope,

Britain was a nation vyed by Saxons and Pirates,

In the end, though the king reached his wish but never leaving Excalibur forgotten in time,

A king rose once more not as women broken in mind,

But a woman of radiant light.

The world shrouded in darkness, wailing of those desperate aeons apart but those screams never reached her ears. That is what she first came, regaining her senses. In front, sat a king in the throne. The throne, a pristine article rallying the respect of people of all status. It's lust, by others insatiable, as well its dominant presence and so a battle was waged against the one sitting before her.

However, she lost. Lost everything in her gambit for the throne and now before this wretched king, she stood as a traitor.

The place she found herself was a giant hall, with Arthur's knights surrounding her, standing in line to her beck and call. But the thing which derived the greatest of fear within her was the dragon, gazing from shadows of the throne. Not only her but all who dared go against Arthur's reign.

Donning a silver armour and with a slit-like eye, the king with a boorish manner sat on his throne. Her every movement brought a shudder to the guards stationed afront. Alas, the king was feared but again was worshipped in the same instance. Taming a dragon of this calibre was not a small thing in people's eyes. It was like legends realized in reality. Dragons were classed as phantasmal species and if one thing is sure, each and every one of those beings has enough strength to turn the strongest of heroes to paste. Having no kind of sure way to communicate with them, turned those creatures against humanity.'A dragon was evil, Laying waste to lives to just herald in treasures belonging to mortals' This turned into a common conception leaving humanity to slay them.

Siegfried, the dragon slayer was one belonging to Celtic pantheon further proved the theory. The man was said to have slain the Evil Dragon Fafnir. Legends of his power reverberated throughout the world, marking him as one of the oldest and the most renowned of heroes. But here before her, an unprecedented event even in the hidden world of magic, immortalized. A king who tamed a dragon, A phantasmal being of the highest class.

None can question her ascension. For the girl of the Red dragon's blood actually tamed one. This alone stood as her greatest achievement for her saga. However, in a bleak part of her mind, the traitor shook in giddiness. After all, now the world will not know her as king Arthur and her knights of the Round but of a girl who conjured the impossible and dominated a dragon. The annals of history will forever shadow her knights as well as her achievements for the sake of this mighty Being.

"Kneel." was the only command, she had heard. With an indifferent gaze, the king let his words known. Not a single bit of warmth could be realized from the face, the man before her was making.

No sound made its way to her ears, like a mockery to her very existence the king before the girl acted.

"Pardon?..." confused she asked once more. A royalty like her kneeling before this robber?Preposterous!! But before she made her words know, a scream ripped open her ears. Nobles were the symbol of royalty. They lead their fiefs with the protection of the royal family, behind them and in exchange, their influence and power aided the kings in their deepest of conflicts and now before her, laid their bodies, barely breathing and burnt heavily.

'A warning. How dare she?!!' while the emotional part of her wanted nothing but to gut the individual before her, the logical one, however, screamed to go on with the flow as such the traitor knelt before the king.

But even then, the king too busy on the papers before him, refused to make eye contact with her. Inciting on how small her existence truly is. She would have plunged her blade hiding beneath her cloak to his heart, revelling at her screams and laughing to its futility to her cause. But the dragon behind her draped over her throne like a protective shield.

'Truly if one laid visage on this king, now. None could string her to the ideal knight that she was.' The girl who wanted nothing but to save everyone even if they were her enemies now stood as a true emperor. With the dragon looming over her portrayed an image, the image of a God, A God of War.

"How stupid they were to follow you on your supposed battle against this tyrant. Showing me like a king who despises his subjects just to rally my own people against me as well as opening the left gates to let safe passage for Anglo-Saxons inside Camelot. Your crimes are as notorious as your cooking, sister." The king smiled in mockery in order to elicit the traitor's emotion even more. To rile her up as an act of petty revenge towards herself. After all, in a time different from the one before, the traitor was the epicentre to the storm brewing in Camelot, destroying it from inside but then she had made a mistake, an error to her limitless intellect and decided to forthright attack the king based on circumstances fabricated by Arthur himself. How stupid it was, jeopardizing her entire life's work because of that girl.

The traitor, however, took this as the cue to make her plea for safety, "Your majesty is most kind. Although this one unknowingly committed a vast sin to his greatness. Still, this great one asks..."

"SILENCE" The king's word reverberated in the entirety of the castle, chilling the bones of all those bound in ropes. But then the 'holier than thou' king for the first in this meeting, met her eyes. That, however, was a mistake from this traitors side as the dragon rose in sync.

Hollow eyes without a scent of life looked straight, piercing her insides.

"My Lord I..."

"You are hereby stripped of your royal position. Within the dawn of a new moon, you will be executed before the people themselves."

"You can't do this!! The people of this kingdom will not bow to your tyranny." Agitated she spoke in a heated tone.

"Tyranny?Morgana. In your empty pursuit of this very crown. Thousands and thousands lay dead in desolate villages, wives mourn for their husband and mother's their child, your empty hopes and promises led them begging on streets and the love you ushered got them nothing but a mark of being a traitor and..."The king spoke with venom in his tone.

With a tired sigh, Arthur spoke his final words but now with a tint of steel beneath it,"...in the end, you, you were never supposed to plea for your life but the lives of those nobles behind your back..." A shiver went on Morgana's spine. With every word, her chance of exit was turning bleaker and bleaker.

"Morgana Le Fay, Late King Uther's first daughter. Threatening the crown itself with treason is a grave offence and even after that you plea innocence..." She was checked. Trapped from all corners without any way out.

"...You will regret this!!" Spewing her words of defiance, Morgana tried to make a last desperate attempt.

"Lock her in the dungeon" but before she could make any moves a knight behind her bashed her head on the ground.

"Yes, my lord" Bedivere smiled at his king's deviousness whilst dragging Morgana to the annals of despair.

"My king, What about us?!! We were coerced by this witch!! By your grace, we never had any intention to stand against you, please believe us...We are innocent." Arthur's face for the first time changed to happiness, giving hope to them in their time of hell. The noble's face turned hopeful, sparking a bit of radiance with it. The others following suit soon spoke,

"He speaks the truth, your majesty. My...she threatened to kill my family"

"Yes, that's true"

A commotion soon broke out between the nobles trying to justify their actions. A screech suddenly filled the entirety of hall, bringing fear to all its listener's towards its aspect of despair. With his nail, the dragon scratched lightly on the ground. Bringing semblance back to the room. In that time,

Standing up from his throne, the king walked regally in front of them, without ever losing his smile. His knights, however, felt a chill going through their spine eying that smile.

"Is that so..."

"My ki..." Without remorse or even any bit of hesitation, she beheaded the first noble that asked for a plea of mercy. With an angelic smile, Arthur spoke,

"I heard of a new fashion going around nobility, chaining village girls with hopes of a new life. Ah, a new fashion indeed. Now though is there something the rest of you would also like to share as well"

With hopes to any mercy cut apart from the lives of these souls exuding such pity, the knights went through their duties and laid silence to these souls in pity.

Camelot moved now in the bowels of death, standing in the middle of rulers, conquerors in the state of war. Rome screamed in blood as well Alexander declared Camelot like his own.

In a three-way declaration, nothing was seen to skies of the kingdom bringing hopes to their hearts. Pushing courage as well as alighting the burning in the hearts of Rome. The maharajas joined with Rome and for the first gave birth to its largest army to ever Roam.

Setting a grand stage of betrayal and treachery, destruction would ensue. Though it remains to be seen on whose side will rise in victory and whose side in demise...

As I am early, I'm gonna make a joke:

Q. Why did the chicken cross the road?

Ans: Because she was afraid someone would Caesar!
