"We should leave this place,'' Gyles pulls away from me slowly. I have been holding him for a couple of minutes and the more time that passes, the more I don't want to let go. I just got him back and this might be the part of me that is scared that something else could happen at any moment in time and I could end up losing him again but I want to hold unto him until we leave this coven.

"Yeah, I just need to go back down there. She is not expecting me to be in the house. She fucking chose to go to bed, after everything that happened today. She doesn't even see me as a threat and that is what hurts the most.'' I confess to him.

I have been beside myself since I went to her room and saw her asleep. It makes me feel even more useless. I know that my mother has never actually thought of me as good with magic and I don't dispute that but going to bed means to her, I am harmless.
