Capítulo 498: The bite

I wait for him, still in the same position I was when he left the room. I wait for him because my mind is made up. I don't want Darrien to come here and have to fight my own battles. I want him to come and see that I have fixed everything.

I want Lenny to know that I am not just a hybrid. I am a strong wolf and a strong vampire.

He opens the door with the same tray they have been using to bring me food "I brought food,'' he smiles and drops it on the tray.

I watch him as he walks over to the bed and drops it by the table. He sits down next to me and his eyes never leave me.

"Dig in, I am hungry too.'' He takes a fork and bends over to pick up a piece of meat. I reach for it and take it. I tentatively tear a chunk off and place it in my mouth. It is raw and I chew it over and over, the juices tasting strangely sour.

Lenny watches me carefully, his eyes falling over every small change in my face. "You like it?'' he asks me still smiling.
