Capítulo 80: What Nightmares Are Made Of

When I start seeing the doors with keypad locks, I know I'm going in the right direction. I continue down until I come to the very last door. When I look back up, Everything is dark until it reaches the floor I came in at.

I lift the keycard up to the keypad and watch as the red light turns green. When the door clicks, I open it up and walk in. I ease the door shut as I look up and down the hall. Titus also told me that because of the things that happen down here, there aren't cameras.

I focus on the lights and burn them out before slowly walking to the right. As I move through the hall, the lights die one after the other. I use the keycard to open the doors but so far I haven't found him. Everything I've come across is mostly computers.

As I make my way further, I finally hear voices. As I walk closer, I hear what sounds like two men. One walks out of the room and turns to look in my direction and freezes. I stay far enough back to hide in the dark as he scratches his head and calls out "Hey, Jeff? What happened to the lights in the hallway?"

I faintly hear a TV in the background as "Jeff" Says "I don't know man. They probably got turned off or they went out." The man in the hallway frowns at Jeff in annoyance before muttering "But half the hallway is out..."

He walks to the other side of the hall and flips a switch. No doubt trying to turn the lights on but nothing happens. He flips another switch and I watch as the other end of the hallway becomes dark. He flips it back on and says "I think I should call it in. Without windows, this place is too freaking dark."

I don't hear a reply from 'Jeff' so when the guy turns around and starts heading away. I quickly start walking towards him while killing the lights. I move without making a noise but the guy's instincts kick in. Right as he goes to turn around, I kill all the lights in the hall.

He goes to yell out but I quickly hit him in the throat. He chokes and stumbles back holding his throat. I bring my leg up and kick him in the side of the head, effectively knocking him out. I bend down and pull out his earpiece.

I slip it into my ear and feel around for anything else that may be helpful. When I find keys, I grab them just in case but as I stand back up, I hear Jeff call out "Rob? You good man?" I look back over to see him reaching for a flashlight so I quickly move towards him.

As soon as he turns on the flashlight, I'm right before him. He sucks in and jerks back but I quickly follow him. As soon as I knock him out, I walk back to Rob and grab him. I pull him by his collar and he easily glides over the smooth floor. I grab Jeff with my other hand and pull them both over to the couch they were just sitting on.

I strain to set them both on the couch before using the springs in the couch to tie them to it. Once I know they aren't breaking free, I pull off their ties and tie their mouths. I don't want them waking up and sounding an alarm before I have the chance to get Thane.

I kill all the lights in the room but leave the TV running. Sure, it'd probably be easier just to kill them but I don't want to kill someone's son, father, or brother. Not unless I HAVE to. I head out and keep moving. When I come across an older looking elevator, I slow to a stop.

It only goes down... I walk over and go to use the keycard but it's asking for a pin. Shit. I place my hand on the keypad and amp up the electricity a little until the elevator slides open. I walk in and hit the only button in the elevator.

It quickly drops but when I feel the pressure in my ears growing, I realize we're going down much further than I originally thought. When we finally come to a stop and the doors glide open, A confused man turns to look at us.

I explode the phone in his hand, making him drop the phone and yelp. I quickly appear before him and grab him by the collar before slamming him into the table behind him. I bare my teeth at him and growl out "Where is Thane?" CheeChee leans over and growls at the man with his sharp teeth.

The man visible flinches and tries to shrink back but I won't let him move. "I... I don't know what.." I cut him off by sucking all the electricity out of the surrounding computers and gathering it in my hand as I say "You have one more chance to tell me where he is before I turn you into a well-done steak."

The whole room was now dark as the electricity pops and snaps like an angry snake in my hand. The man pees himself as he lifts his hand and points to the back and says "He's... He's in containment three! I just work here lady!"

I bare my teeth at him again before slamming him into the table and knocking him out. I release the electricity and shake out my hand. It kinda hurt to hold it for so long... I bend the metal table until it wraps around him like a metal burrito and step back. Gross...

I quickly walk over and start looking for the door marked three. As soon as I find it, I try to open the door and find that it's locked. I pull out the keycard and try to open it but it still doesn't work. It must open with the computers I just fried... shit.

I press my hand against the large metal door and find myself shocked by how thick the door is. Is this made out of... titanium!? I use my powers to try and disengage the locks but the door does the complete opposite!

More locks are suddenly engaged as a red light above me starts to flash. Shiiiiit... I press both hands against the door and use my power to try and move it. The large metal door begins to whine before it suddenly crumbles in on itself. I use my power to move the door out of the way as I walk into the dark room.
