The morning was cold, but the sun promised to warm everyone in a few more hours; Meadow woke up slowly, and as she stretched her body and moved to the side, she found Caleb’s place empty. She perked a brow and slowly sat on the bed, looking around for him. There was no trace of his essence and mind, which was a bit strange, but not completely unusual.

She slid her feet into the comfortable slippers and walked to the bathroom to do her morning routine; a shower, not a bath, and then brushing her teeth.

She stepped out of the steamed room and gasped at the sight in front of her; red roses and white orchids were covering every available surface of the bedroom, on the table, on the floor, on the chairs, on the nightstand, and finally, on the bed, where the true artistic design was on full display; the white orchids made the shape of a heart, as the red roses framed the image and accentuated it.
