"Go on then," she took a seat at her chair once more, "tell me what was so important that you can't even knock before entering."

He nodded and moved forward coming to stand in front of a table." I apologize for not knocking ma'am." He bowed his head, "but there is something of grave importance that I must ask."

She nodded, a bit irritated by his constant deflection.

He started out looking visibility uncomfortable, "Have you told the don about..." His expression said it all. 

"About?" She asked as she twisted her hand in a what gesture. "About my daughter? Of an event that I entrusted you to become a part of, anyway, you are talking of it while being against me."

He bowed his head bit but didn't move, "my loyalties are to the don and then the donna. I hope you understand that matters like these, all the ones that he should know of."
