Capítulo 3: Past Came Back!
"hey! apologise to my girlfriend right now" Jungkook shout. "Girlfriend?" Day clicks his tongue, looking us both up and down. Jungkook takes Mahiyah's hand in his and give her a soft smile of reassurance. "You moved on quickly I see ... and with an older guy who already has a child ... how desperate ... how pathetic" Day laughed as he looked at Jeongsan and snarled.
How dare he insult me and my daughter. Luckily she was too busy playing a game on my phone that she wasn't listening.
"that's rich coming from a cheating imbecile like you" Mahiyah snaps at Day and she could see the girl with Day was laughing slightly. Mahiyah sees her face and narrows her eyebrows. "I don't know why you are laughing, you are as equally as pathetic at him" Mahiyah shrugs. "You are both perfect for each other and you know what, I wish this relationship all the best, because that was no more hearts can be broken" she sarcastically smiles at them before turning away from them and walked towards what she assumed to go to the staff room.
Day and his girlfriend looked guilty but then just slowly turned and left the cafe without a word. Jungkook sigh and walks over to Jeongsan.
Mahiyah went to the staff room to wash off the milk that was definitely going to stain and stink for a while Tears were endlessly coming out from Mahiyah's eyes. She felt humiliated. "Who gave them the right to publicly embarrass me? But I am grateful for him and his help whose name is still unknown to me. If he wasn't there, I would've just broken down in front of them" Mahiyah's thought stop when she hears a knock at the door. Mahiyah took a guess who could it be so she opened the door.
Jungkook appeared with Jeongsan in his eight hand, before putting her on the floor before leaning in to embrace Mahiyah. Mahiyah restrained slightly because she didn't want to get his clothes dirty too, but it appeared that he didn't care. Mahiyah hugged him back and cried into his chest. Normally this would be weird for Mahiyah hugging a stranger she barely knows, but surprising she felt comfortable and safe.
She weren't afraid to hide her emotions in front of him. Jeongsan didn't understand what was going on but saw her mom hugging Jungkook so he clung onto his legs tightly. "You deserve better than them" Jungkook wispers in Mahiyah's ear, sending shivers down her spine.
Mahiyah were enjoying the hug until she thought about the incident again. Mahiyah pulled him away gently, noticing his shirt were covered in milk, transferred from Mahiyah's.
"oh I am sorry" Mahiyah says as she grab a cloth and hand it over to him. Jeongsan was full of herself. Mahiyah guided Jungkook yo the staff room so that he can get changed. Mahiyah lightly smiled at him before looking away out of shyness. His whole aura was powerful and Mahiyah had to admit he was extremely attentive.
"thank you for standing up for me, I really appreciate it" Mahiyah says with a smile. "I am Jungkook, by the way" he smiles, holding out, his hand. "Mahiyah" says while shaking with his hand.
Mahiyah's shift was now well and truly over yet she were still in the cafe. She still had to give Jungkook his banana milk and this time Jeongsan also ordered one for her. When Mahiyah was preparing drinks for them, meantime Jungkook and Jeongsan was spending time together. But when Mahiyah got to the table to give them their drinks, Jungkook asked Mahiyah to sit with him. She didn't want to intrude his private time but Jungkook insisted so she sat at the table and talked and laughed with Jeonkook for about four hours. There was even some flirting that went in between the two of you.
Eventually Jeongsan got tired and fell asleep on her mom's arms. It was at that point Mahiyah decided to call it a night and head home. "Thank you Mahiyah, I really enjoyed getting to know you" he smiles. "Me too" Mahiyah smiles back. "Are you working tomorrow?" he asks. "yeah twelve until six" Mahiyah shrugs. "Great I will stop by after work" he says before placing a kiss on Mahiyah's cheek and exited the cafe. Mahiyah just stood their in shock, blushing slightly as she bit her lip smiling..
That night Mahiyah struggled to sleep, thoughts of Jungkook swarmed her head. He just made her feel so happy, like the happiest she have been in a while and it made her feel so much better about herself.
Mahiyah and Jungkook talked about all sorts of things, from works to hobbies to music, Jungkook realized that they have many things in common. But Jungkook tried not to get too excited or over think things because there is a high possibility that her heart is broken and he didn't want to get his Hope's up and begin falling for her.
Mahiyah's shift next day couldn't have gone slower and she had a lots of impatient customers which lowered her mood completely but as soon as the bell rung and Jungkook walked through the door, Mahiyah unconsciously started smiling. Jungkook wore a black suit, and looked breathtaking. His fluffy brown hair, slightly messy but just added more charm to his look. "Can I get you anything?" Mahiyah asked in a soft tone once he reached the counter. "Yes I will have two hot chocolate, a banana milk and this beautiful cashier to go," he said casually as he started getting the cash out of his wallet. "okay so two hot chocolates, a banana milk and a -" wait did you say cashier?" Mahiyah ask, heat rising to her cheek. "Not just any cashier, the beautiful one in front of me. I wanted to invite you and Jeongsan to dinner tonight" he smiled nervously. "really?" Mahiyah's eyes widen slightly and Jungkook nods. "Are you sure? I don't wanna impose on -" "You're not" Jungkook cuts her off.
Jeongsan appeared from nowhere and agreed to Jungkook's proposal while running towards him to climb on his arm. "um okay but you will have to wait until I finish my shift" Mahiyah smile, heart beating rapidly.
Jungkook looks at his watch for a couple of seconds before looking at Mahiyah "its six, your shift is over" he shrugs as he hand Mahiyah the money for the drinks. Mahiyah made the drink and hand them over to Jungkook before heading to the staff room, taking off her apron and grabbing her bag.
Mahiyah saw Jungkook was waiting for her by the door while sipping one of the hot chocolate and holding the other one at his other hand, meanwhile Jeongsan was standing beside him busy on sipping her banana milk Mahiyah could see him smiling at her. "This is for you" he grinned as he presented the other cup to her. "oh thank you" Mahiyah smiled.
Mahiyah, Jungkook walked to Jungkook's house while Jeongsan felt asleep on Jungkook's arm. "let me carry her, you may feel tired" Mahiyah said while taking Jeongsan from Jungkook's arm. "its okay" he said while holding Jeongsan on his arm and continued to walk..Mahiyah was trailing beside him. Jungkook's house was not far from his house so they soon reached at his apartment. Mahiyah smiled widely at the sight of the inside of his apartment but that smile was soon wiped off her face when Mahiyah saw a girl lying upside down on the sofa who was playing games.
