The silence continued, even after the minute was over. Mayor Zhou thanked everyone for their time and closed off the PA. However...with the announcement of this news, I doubted anyone could just go back to what they were doing without a care in the world. The girls before me were a prime example of exactly that.
They stood still, too stunned to say anything.
I sighed. "Well...now you know why I've been pretty off lately."
"...Right..." Feng Mian murmured. "Principal Song..."
"I was never really close to him, but...he was still our principal..." Yu An Yan added. "I never thought he would just..."
Seeing her trail off, I averted my gaze. "Yeah...from this, I learnt that...we should treasure what we have. Because...you never know when they might just disappear one day, out of the blue."
"Yeah..." Qing Yue agreed. "Principal Song was a nice person."
Heya guys! Cyclxne here.
The true, final, last, end chapter of Volume 5 - The Fall of Shenzhen. Like I said in the previous chapter's afterword, this volume was very long - but worth it. It was a tiresome journey, but also a fun one. But Xuan Kai's story has just begun.
Next volume will be about the Magic Capital, if you haven't realized already. The difference between the Magic Capital Shanghai and the capital of human territory Beijing, is pretty big. More on this later though.
I hope you guys are all enjoying this series so far. The beginning is pretty slow-paced and bad in general, but I'm working on it haha. I'm always trying to improve my writing skills, so hopefully that shows in my actual writing.
I want to say a huge thank you to all of my readers as well, my current, past, and future readers - without you guys, I wouldn't be where I am today. I hope you all stick with the series, and grow with me, together.
Anyway, that's all from me for now!
And without further ado, I will talk to you guys again in Volume 6 - The Magic Capital.
