The final battle of the tournament. We were facing Xuan Kai's brother - Xuan Kun. Since the two of them both wanted to settle things by themselves, this was less of a teamfight and more of just a solo duel between the two of them. That being said, it wasn't like the rest of us were just idling around doing nothing either. We each had our respective opponents, and by chance, I was facing the other team's assassin, a girl named Meng Fei, alias Girl of the Shadows.
I had heard about this girl before. She was a student of Class 2-A, and quite high in up in the Magus Rankings of our school for a 2nd Year. Granted, she was a strong opponent. She was the second person I've faced who doesn't have a single opening to be found. The first, of course, was Xuan Kai.

This chapter was mainly focused on Feng Mian. While Xuan Kai is the protagonist, the OP MC of this story, his harem-
I mean, his allies, are all quite powerful as well. This doesn't just refer to their magic or physical abilities, either. They are all clever girls, and can outwit their opponents in a disadvantageous battle situation.
On a completely unrelated note to the plot, this chapter was nearly 2k words. Yikes. I know I said before I would try to keep my chapters a little over 1.5k, since my readers are telling me that's just the right amount, but ah...I went back on my word again. Apologies.
By the way, did you know that contracted authors can use bolds and italics? I only found out recently. I'm only writing about this because I legit can't find anything else to write about in the afterword, ahahaha. But jokes aside, I love having the ability to use bolds and italics. Thank god they implemented this for contracted authors. Go Webnovel!
Anyway, I did say I can't find anything else to write for the afterword. Therefore, I'm going to end my little rant here for now.
The next chapter will be the main highlight, the climax of this volume. Look forward to it - I know I'm excited to write it!
