He had broken the first rule.
Lu Chenjun quietly opened the door and walked out after checking one more time to make sure Elena was asleep.
Outside, Lu Chenjun immediately saw the three men still dressed in their working uniforms.
"Hello, Mr. Lu."
"Hello, I need you to help me pack some stuff." Lu Chenjun walked over to the guest room and pointed towards the door.
"I want you to put everything in that room into a suitcase or a box. From clothes to makeup, to towels, to hairbrushes, to the blankets, anything in that room."
One courageous male worker looked up and asked, "Even the things that belong in the room, like the lamps and the bed?"
Lu Chenjun frowned, "No. Only everything that belongs to the person living in the room. After you're done, move the things downstairs to the door and escort the person living in the room out of the house."
"Yes, President Lu."
Lu Chenjun opened the door and saw Chu Hua still sitting on the floor. She had stopped crying, but her eyes were swollen and red.
"Chenjun!" Chu Hua stood up in surprise, hoping that Lu Chenjun had changed his mind, although she knew that it wasn't possible at this point.
Lu Chenjun ignored her and turned around, "Get started. You have 45 minutes."
The workers didn't even spare Chu Hua a glance before they started working. One person immediately entered the closet and began taking out the clothes in the cabinets.
Another worker dropped the empty boxes he was holding onto the ground and started folding the blanket.
Chu Hua jumped up and started waving her arms around, "Stop! What are you doing?"
The people didn't listen to her so she ran out to find Lu Chenjun.
Lu Chenjun was walking back to his room when he heard Chu Hua shout his name. He turned around and glowered at Chu Hua, causing her to stop in her tracks.
"Come into my room." Chu Hua was screaming extremely loud, and Lu Chenjun didn't want to wake Elena up.
Chu Hua slowly walked behind Lu Chenjun as she bit her lip. She didn't understand. It would still make some sense if Lu Chenjun just stopped liking her. But why was he being so aggressive and mean?
Lu Chenjun closed the door after Chu Hua walked in and he took off his slippers.
"I gave you a choice. You said you wouldn't leave by yourself."
Chu Hua began crying again, "Why are you like this? You can stop liking me, but you don't have to be so mean."
Lu Chenjun sat down on his bed, "Why am I like this? I am like this to everyone -"
Chu Hua immediately interrupted, "You are not! When I first came back, you weren't like this to Jin Yinghui, that stupid idiot!"
Lu Chenjun stared daggers at Chu Hua, "I am like this to everyone. . . I don't like."
Chu Hua looked up, "Just because I changed? Just because I like money and power now, and I don't like you. That's why you are treating me like this?"
Lu Chenjun shook his head slightly, "Chu Hua, you really don't know me well. Makes sense, it has been nine years already. I don't like you anymore, but I also don't hate you."
Lu Chenjun's gaze sharpened, "I don't care about you. I am not going to hate you for keeping secrets from me and wasting my time, as I am choosing to cancel this hate out with all the good memories we had before. However, don't test my limits. I am only treating you as a nobody. If I hated you, do you think I would still have workers come over to help you pack your stuff? Don't think too highly of yourself, Chu Hua. This is how I treat everyone."
Chu Hua shivered, "You changed, Lu Chenjun."
Lu Chenjun lifted the blanket up and crawled into it, "You changed too."
Chu Hua forced herself to stand straight although her knees felt weak.
One of the workers came in after knocking and said, "President Lu, we are done."
Lu Chenjun nodded and pointed at Chu Hua.
The worker understood and walked forward with an outstretched arm towards the door, "Miss, please follow me."
Chu Hua clenched her teeth together tightly in silent fury as she stared at Lu Chenjun with tears in her eyes.
"Lu Chenjun, I will make Jin Yinghui pay for this. If I can't have you, I won't let Jin Yinghui have you either!"
The male worker noticed Lu Chenjun's face darken upon hearing this, and he waved towards his colleagues. Another worker came in and helped him drag Chu Hua out.
Chu Hua struggled and tried to escape from the workers' arms, "You can't do this to me! Let go of me! Lu Chenjun, you said you don't hate me. Tell them to let go of me!"
Lu Chenjun rolled his eyes and stood up to go close the door.
On the way, he told the workers, "Keep a watch on her after you take her outside. Fang Shi will come and pick her up later. You guys can leave after that. I will tell the housekeeper to give the three of you a bonus."
The workers' faces lit up upon hearing this, "Thank you, President Lu."
After they left, Lu Chenjun called Fang Shi.
Fang Shi was sleeping peacefully until he got disturbed by Lu Chenjun. He angrily picked up his phone and screamed, "What is your issue?!"
"What is my issue?" Lu Chenjun asked calmly.
Fang Shi immediately woke up and started stuttering in fear, "Mr. Lu! Sorry, I didn't know it was you. What can I do for you?"
Lu Chenjun laid down on the bed, "Come to my house right now to pick up Chu Hua. Bring her to the Daxin Hotel and book a room for her for five days. No matter what she says, you follow my instructions. You have five minutes to drive to my house, starting now."
Lu Chenjun hung up the phone and Fang Shi was left stunned. He looked down at his pajamas and let out a small shriek.
He didn't have time to worry about his pajamas, so he immediately grabbed his car keys and ran out the door.
It was good that there were only a few cars on the road due to the late time. Fang Shi lived relatively close to Lu Chenjun's house as he had to rush over often on Lu Chenjun's command.
He arrived at the front gate of the Jinlu Complex with still 45 seconds left.
Fang Shi fled down the road and came to an abrupt stop in front of the mansion. It was dark, so Fang Shi didn't immediately notice Chu Hua standing there with three men behind her.
However, once he got out of the car, his gaze fell on Chu Hua's tangled hair and swollen eyes.
The workers all recognized Fang Shi and they politely greeted him, "Hello, Assistant Fang."
Fang Shi was going to ask Chu Hua what happened, but he thought better and suppressed his curiosity.
"Miss Chu Hua, please follow me."
There was no need in pretending anymore, so Chu Hua angrily crossed her arms together, "Why should I?"
Fang Shi's eyes narrowed as he stared at Chu Hua. He always knew she wasn't a smart woman, so maybe Mr. Lu also figured it out.
Fang Shi lifted his head up and said in a mocking tone, "I am assuming Miss Chu Hua doesn't want to get tied up and dragged into the car, right?"
