"What?" Rose gasped then stared at me. She blinked once, twice and thrice before finally taking a deep breath. Shock was evident on her face. "What the hell is he talking about?" Rose asked me. She didn't want to believe Jace.

Don't believe him. Please.

I didn't know how to signal her that I was in some deep trouble and I needed her help. I gulped when I realized that my best friend was now glaring at me. Rose scoffed before shaking her head in disbelief. She clenched her jaws, then glared at Jace's and I interlinked hands.

"So this is what you've been doing!" Rose snapped at me. My eyes widened. For the first time in my life, Rose was actually furious at me. "We're all looking for your boyfriend! For the father of your future child! And you're here, with the man I love!" she exclaimed in disbelief. "Wait! Maybe the child is not Damian's after all!" she said. I noticed her eyes tearing up and mine started tearing up too.
