When Su Xiaofei returned home, instead of going to her own room, she chose to go to the guestroom to see Lu Qingfeng. She thought that her fiancé would still be awake by this time, but Lu Qingfeng was already asleep on the bed. She eyed the documents that were still in his hands as he slept.

Su Xiaofei gently took them from him and set them aside. It was rare for Lu Qingfeng to fall asleep on his own, and it made her wonder if he was trying to tire himself out in order to be able to sleep again. She also knew that he had tried his best to quickly finish his work in order to free his time that afternoon to accompany her and her mother.

Her heart ached as she gently brushed her fingertips on his face, realizing that they truly needed one another. She knew that in this world, she would never be able to find and meet a man like him. She also knew that there would be no other person who'd treat her with as much gentleness and patience as Lu Qingfeng.
