"Razevan, have you heard that Lady Leviathan has been murdered?"
"She confronted Ajuka, it was only a matter of time before that idiot died at his hands or Sirzechs'. No wonder even Serafall could finish her off, those idiots are so weak."
Grayfia sighed. The Maou's side was slowly losing the war, and Rizevim and Razevan, the only two who could turn the tide, were completely indifferent to the matter.
Razevan had been wandering the Underworld for six months, taking a vacation, and had only just returned to the field of battle. Still, it did not seem as if he would become involved in the war.
On Rizevim's part, he had been leading the troops for these six months, but had been more of a symbol than a true leader. In fact, there was news that he had already withdrawn from the battle.
The only two descendants of Lucifer, the most powerful devils on the side of the Maou's, did not seem to have any desire to win or even participate in this war.

Serafall had not seen Sirzechs since the beginning of the war, but she noticed that his expressions and manners had become cold. This warm and gentle prince of the Gremory family had adopted an expression of determination to win this civil war at all costs. Unlike Ajuka and Serafall, who had agreed to participate in the civil war before it broke out, Sirzechs was completely determined to participate in it after what almost happened to the boys in his choir at the hands of the government of the Maou's families.

Serafall sighed. She wanted to end the rule of the Maous, but she understood what Sirzechs was thinking. That man, Razevan, was a descendant of a Maou and her best friend, Grayfia, was on the side of the Maou's, it was impossible for Serafall not to have complicated emotions about it.

There, walking in the corridor with a pale aspect, was the head of one of the six families descendants of Lucifer: the Sargatanás house. The head of the Sargatas House entered the innermost laboratory, with access restricted to authorized personnel only. He went there to meet the head of the Naberius House and the director of the institution, Zaoroma Naberius.
As soon as he entered the room, he was filled with a horrible aura and pressure, and the head of House Sargatas began to sweat cold. Actually, he had felt this terrifying aura before.
Zaoroma Naberius turned around as if sensing the presence of Sargatas. "Ah, it's you. I was about to release one of them as evidence of execution."
In front of him was one of the stone statues they had found in the underground remains about a year ago.
The Malebranche! The relic that was sealed inside the underground remains... Rather, the weapon that must never be awakened. Zaoroma Naberius had placed the stone statue on several layers of anti-curse magic circles drawn on the ground.
Sargatas realized... that this man intended to awaken the "Malebranche." Zaoroma Naberius asked the head of the House of Sargatas: "Do you bring me news about that matter?"
Sargatas replied: "... Lady Tefarme has died in action, and things don't look good. Some forces are returning to battle, but I doubt they can stop those with extreme powers."
Those who possess the extreme powers, he meant Sirzechs Gremory, Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri and Falbium Glasya-Labolas. Among them, Sirzechs Gremory and Ajuka Astaroth were said to be "bearers of transcendental power".
Ajuka Astaroth had defeated Tefarme Terreac Leviathan, daughter of Maou Leviathan, and Sirzechs Gremory had annihilated the troops of Beelzebub, who had been catalogued as the strongest of all the royal army. To stop Serafall Sitri, they had placed Grayfia Lucifuge, who also possessed extreme power on the side of the Maou's forces, in front of the army of Damaidus Zereikel Asmodeus. It was Falbium Glasya-Labolas at the Resistance headquarters who took command and placed the three so efficiently and accurately. Still, even in such extreme circumstances, Zaoroma Naberius smiled. He had no interest in the state of the civil war. From his birth, he was the sort of devil who never took an interest beyond his own research. Suddenly, he began to speak with the stone statue placed above the magical anti-curse circles.
"Apparently, the state of the war is not favourable. Could you do something about it, considering what I told you before? Deputy Commander of the Malebranche, Lord Barbariccia."
The head of the House of Sargatas watched Zaoroma Naberius, who was talking to the stone statue with dubious eyes, but suddenly the statue began to speak.
"Well. I don't know the magnitude of this war, but as long as we maintain this state, there are limits to what we can do."
Sargatas couldn't contain his surprise. Zaoroma Naberius had already awakened one of the "Malebranche"'s consciences.
The stone statue - The deputy commander of the "Malebranche" Barbariccia, said: "However, I can try something interesting. Can you free another of us temporarily as you are doing for me now? Then I'll show you a little of our power. Is there anyone in particular who resents his own powerlessness?"
Zaoroma Naberius smiled broadly in response to the words on the statue, and took up a document containing a name of particular interest to him.

The confrontation between the army of Sirzechs Gremory and Serafall Sitri on the Resistance side, and the army of Damaidus Zereikel Asmodeus and the six families descended from Lucifer, on the government side, continued for days. The land, nature and landscape of the former Valafar domain were severely damaged.
On the front line, where both sides were fighting, Serafall and Grayfia had another confrontation.
Grayfia repelled Serafall's immense aura of ice far away and said, "You are not attacking me with Sirzechs."
Serafall, while instantly freezing the explosion of Grayfia's silver aura, replied: "That's the worst possible situation! In front of you or Razevan... who knows what he will do!"
Serafall didn't know if it was Falbium or the Great King's family who had decided to send Sirzechs here. It would seem obvious that the Great King's family was aware of Sirzechs' relationship with Grayfia and Razevan, and that they too saw him as a close friend. Did they think Sirzechs could convince Grayfia to join the Resistance or catch her in a moment of weakness?
There were many aspects of this strategy that made no sense. Grayfia joining the side of Sirzechs and Serafall was the best possible situation for them, but if she was caught in a moment of weakness, it could be a turning point in this war. And it wasn't going to be in favour of the anti-Maous.
Because Razevan would go into the war.
Serafall was sure that, if something bad happened to Grayfia, Razevan would start to take an active part in this Civil War.
The man had been missing for six months, and it seemed that he had no intention of participating in this senseless war that he called "a pain in the ass" from the very beginning. Serafall did not know if Razevan's non-participation had made the top brass relax, but she had not.
She and Sirzechs knew how terrifying Razevan Lucifer could be.
He and Sirzechs had had many practice fights over the years, and Sirzechs had never been able to win even once. Although Serafall could say that neither of them had gone all the way, it was enough to prove Razevan's superiority.
One thing was certain, however: the chance for Sirzechs to take the head of Damaidus, while Serafall took care of Grayfia, had increased considerably.
While Serafall took care of Grayfia, multiple large auras could be seen bursting in the distance, indicating that a heated battle was underway.
"You'd better take his head today, Sirzechs." Serafall thought to herself, as she continued to trade auras furiously with her rival.
Meanwhile, on the front line where Sirzechs was, the situation was getting more and more intense...
