Capítulo 123: Lucian

"Father," Lucian said to the vampire sitting on the throne. His footsteps echoed in the cavernous ballroom. Of course, Lucian knew precisely where to find Marcaius. It would have been easy to track his father by scent or sound in the massive keep, but there was no need. Where else would the new King of Ibudal be?

Marcaius shifted slightly on the throne. His crimson eyes widened in surprise for only a moment as Lucian sauntered through the empty room. His heels clicked on the marble floor.

"I expected your brother, but this is far too selfless of an act for someone such as yourself. You know what you risk coming here and attempting to free what I have rightfully stolen?" Marcaius wore his ever-present aristocratic grin. 

Lucian saw no humor in the situation. Blood would be spilled this night. As to whose was still up for the gods to decide.
