Capítulo 13: Chapter 012 - You Are Bob, Policeman Bob
"Beep, Meiyu Run!" Bop tried to cooly let the girls escape.
But Beep and Meiyu only looked back at Bop with a look of pity as they stood in place...
You see, the HyperCop was developed under the HPG's HPPC.
The HPPC or the Hyper Police Patrol Council is the HPG's main police department branch, whose's main objective was to keep the city streets within the HPG safe for public use...
The only problem was...
THEY WERE EXTREMELY CORRUPT!
Only 1% of the annual budget they were given by the Hyper Galactic Council was really used to develop the HyperCop models, and the other 99% was: used for "more important" stuff, like Jacuzzis, Ferraris, and of course bribes towards the Hyper Galactic Council so they won't be found out.
The resulting disaster that insinuated was the EXTREMELY incompetent HyperCops.
Instead of using Advanced A.I. Cores for their thought processing, simple machine programming was used instead! Making them incredibly susceptible to lies and trickery! Some criminals even trick some of the HyperCops into helping them carry their stolen goods!
Instead of Advanced Jet-Level Rocket Boosters to make the Cops as fast as airplanes, they used Floaters instead! A super slow prototype of early Rocket Boosters that made the Hyper Cops super slow! Criminals who make the HyperCops carry their stolen goods give up halfway and just carried the goods themselves as the Cops were too slow!
It was so bad that Policeman Bob didn't even capture Meiyu and Beep. Nor did it confiscate the illegal Lent!
It just freaking left them alone! as it took Bop to the Hyper City 53's Police Station.
"Don't worry about me! Runaway!" Bop continued to pretend to be a fallen hero as the two girls stared at him...
""..."" Beep and Meiyu just stared at him, not knowing whether they should be feeling gratitude or pity...
"Criminal Detained! Mission Success... O Yeah ♪, O Yeah ♫, Yeah ♪, Yeah ♫" Bob the HyperCop started to sing and dance a quirky robotic dance as Bop stared at the weird robot.
"A-are all Cops this quirky?" Bop murmured to himself. [His singing's too robotic too...]
"Nah, this robot's just particularly weird... But not gonna lie, if that robot showed his moves back home, he'd be one sexy robot..." A deep and groggy voice resounded in the cell next to Bop.
"Gah!" Bop shouted in fright when he heard the scary voice.
"Woah Woah, relax... I'm not gonna eat ya" A Gorgrog said in a deep groggy voice with no Mafioso accent which was pretty weird for a Gorgrog.
"Oh, I thought you were another big Alien, you were just a Gorgrog. Whew, don't scare me like that!"
"Just a Gorgrog? You belittling my kind, balloon man?" The Gorgrog felt offended as he rebutted by mocking Bop's balloon looking face due to the face film.
"N-No, it's just I was afraid you were a different race... You're with Mussolini right?" Bop asked the crouching Gorgrog.
"You know Mussolini?" The Gorgrog asked as if he was suddenly interested in conversing with Bop.
"Yeah, I was doing a job for him" Bop sighed as he lamented in his mind [I'm a criminal now...]
"Don't think too much about getting captured by a HyperCop, this one's a little bit smarter than the others... Tsk, even calls himself Bob. What a strange robot..." The Gorgrog thought that Bop felt shame from getting captured by a HyperCop, if this news were to be found out by the others they'd become laughing stocks. Even idiots don't get captured by HyperCops!
"So what's your story? You underestimate the dumb bot too? I was making fun of it, but it was smarter than it looked... Names Ducio by the way" The Gorgrog introduced himself.
"Neh, I was caught red-handed... You said the robot was smarter than the others, does that mean they have simple programming? Do they use A.I. Cores?" Bop asked Ducio who seemed to be knowledgeable of the HyperCops.
"Ah I don't know much about that robotics mumbo-jumbo, but if I remember correctly the government said they used Advanced A.I. Cores, but anyone could see that's all a load of bull. Money probably got embezzled instead"
"So it's not an Advance A.I. Core, huh... Help me with something, I have a plan to escape" Bop asked Ducio as an ingenious plan hit him.
"O Yeah ♪" Policeman Bob robotically sang as he checked something off his list.
"Captured 2 criminals already... Almost close to finishing Riley's order" Bob proudly said with his mechanical voice.
"Capture every criminal in the world!" Bob, with his robotic voice, said with conviction.
*Dang* "Shut-up dumb bot I'm trying to concentrate here!" A policeman, playing poker with two other policemen, kicked Policeman Bob.
"I am sorry sir, I will minimize my sound output" Bob responded robotically.
"Stupid robot, always doing that dumb dance" The angry policeman murmured.
The HyperCops weren't all that respected within the Police Force as they saw them as useless pieces of junk.
"Ah, that's it! HyperCop, I mean Policeman Bob, I order you to halt your dancing and singing protocols" The policeman smirked at his "ingenious" plan.
"I am sorry sir, I cannot override my system"
"Bullshit, of course, you can!"
"I... do not want to, sir" Policeman Bob responded.
"You don't 'want' to? And who told you, you can 'want' something?" The policeman got annoyed at Bob's responses.
"Ah forget about that hump of junk, it's past partner broke it or something, just forget about it. It's gonna get replaced in a week anyway... Straight flush!" Another policeman smirked as he took all the money on the table.
"Ah! My 2-month salary!" The first policeman shouted as all his money got taken away.
"HELP! The prisoner next to me suddenly collapsed!" Ducio cried loudly.
The three policemen heard Ducio's cry but didn't bother to stand up.
"Policeman Bob, you go handle it" The policemen ordered lazily.
"Yes sir" Bob didn't waste any time to save a life, hearing that one of the prisoners fell unconscious might mean it was serious... And Bob wanted to save every, life if possible.
"How could they outfit you with fake A.I. Cores, I can't believe them! You almost died too" Bob remembered Riley complain to him as they drove in their Police Hover Car after an accident due to Bob's extremely low processing power.
"I am a robot ma'am, I cannot experience death, only permanent shutdown..."
"Haa, if you experienced "permanent shutdown" I'll be very sad you know... those lazy corrupt geezers don't want to partner up with a "little girl" like me then they make me do all the hard work while they pretend to be policemen, playing their stupid poker games!" Riley released her pent up frustrations.
"If they're real policemen, they should fight crime! Right, Bob?" Riley spoke passionately about Police Duty.
"Do not worry ma'am, if I am decommissioned, I'm sure they'd give you a better model HyperCop" Bob tried to encourage Riley.
"Hah, stupid Bob, it's not the same you know"
"I see" Bob's television-like head went up and down, like a dog wagging its tail out of happiness.
"Hahaha, this is why you're so special, Bob!" Riley laughed at Bob's funny display. She normally wouldn't believe that robots could feel happiness or any emotions really, but to her, Bob's reactions were; obviously a show of emotions.
Bob could still remember Riley's smile. It was precious to him.
"Where is the incapacitated prisoner?" Bob asked as he entered the prison cages.
"There!" Ducio shouted as he pointed at Bop.
Policeman Bob quickly opened Bop's cell as he carried Bop out of the cell.
But before Policeman Bob could take Bop out, Bop suddenly woke up and opened a weird tablet-like item and teleported the both of them into a strange space filled with ancient tablets and futuristic books... It was the Thesarius' private space.
"Gehehe, I got it, Bob! I got it! An A.I. Core!... It's only a Simple one though" Bob remembered one of his most cherished memories.
That day Riley happily smiled at him as she waved around the small Core in her hands.
Bob could never understand why Riley treated that defective A.I. Core like it was some treasure.
But to Bob it did not matter, Riley's smile was as she waved around that A.I. Core was even more precious than the gift he received. If Bop could associate one emotion with it, it would be happiness.
"No worries Ma'am, any gift is a precious gift" Bob said with his mechanical voice.
"Oh~ you smoother talker you, where did you learn that tehehe. Sorry bout taking this long to get ya a Core. They lessened our salaries again! It took two month of saving just to buy this. Huh, it's hard being a rookie cop... But now that we have it, not long now until we capture every criminal there is!" Riley victoriously held the A.I. Core up in the sky and treated it like some precious diamond despite it only being a Simple A.I. Core.
"Yes, we will capture every criminal!" Bob followed Riley's enthusiasm as he made a silly dance Riley taught him the other day.
"Yeah. We will ♫. Yes. We will ♪" Bob tried to dance the silly moves he knew made Riley giggle.
"Hehehe" Riley happily laughed at the weirdly expressive robot in front of her as she danced along with him.
It was a very happy time.
"Take this!" Bop shouted inside the Thesarius' private space as he inserted a chord into Policeman Bob's circuitry and started typing on the Thesarius.
Bop connected to the Zelda X8 #06's A.I. Core to the Thesarius that served as a monitor and translator for Policeman Bob's A.I. Core and the Thesarius.
Bop's ingenious plan was to hack the HyperCop and let them out.
"What?" Bop was surprised to find a Simple A.I. Core instead of Machine Programming like he had expected. For reference, Zelda X8 #06's A.I. Core was at the Intermediate level, making Policeman Bob harder to hack than what Bop had initially expected.
"I'm going to reset you!" Bop victoriously shouted as he entered a hacking program he developed using Zelda's A.I. Core.
Policeman Bob thrashed and resisted with all his mechanical might. Sadly his strength was just couldn't stand against Bop who had the upper hand due to the hacking program weakening him.

"Let... go... of... me" Policeman Bob begged.
"Ha, almost done! From now on you will be: Officer McPoopenstein!" Bop victoriously shouted.
"I... aM... BoB" The robot responded to Bop.
"You have pretty strong will power, don't ya?" Bop rose to the challenge as he entered even stronger programming to hack Bob.
Bop felt strange but he just couldn't remove the image of the robot in front of him that looked like it was crying despite it being only a machine. (And having no eyes)
Policeman Bob remembered the first time they met...
"So you're my partner huh? Nice to meet you uhh... What do I call ya?" The cheerful girl in front of him smiled brightly.
"I am a HyperCop ma'am, I do not have a designated label to be called with..."
"Awee, that's kinda sad, isn't it? Ah! I know! From now on, you'll be called Bob! Policeman Bob! After the greatest hero in the Universe: Officer Bob!" Riley made a pose. It was the pose of Officer Bob, a cartoon character she admired as a child.
"Policeman Bob! doesn't it sounds cool?" Riley smiled at him...
"Po-Lice-Man Bob..."
Bob felt it was nice continuing his existence as he first heard his new name... This was one of the first emotions Bob ever felt...
Riley called it happiness.
"Come on! Let me reset ya so I can escape, PLEASEEE" Bop cried as his hacking skills were negated by Policeman Bob's strong will.
"Ne.Ver.E.Ver..." Bob fought back with his sheer will.
"Kuh- You forceth my hand!" Bop tried to make a majestic gesture despite being sweaty and failing on all levels of coolness as he entered an even stronger software...
Bob had finally started to weaken as his modified floaters stopped working, and there he lay on the ground.
As his blinking lights faded, Bob remembered their final meeting...
It was pouring hard as sirens beeped on and off.
The rain that fell on Policeman Bob made it look like he was crying...
"Bob..." Riley weakly called out.
"I'm here... Riley" Bop mechanically called out to Riley as she lay on the ground bleeding out from a gunshot.
"It looks like I'm gonna get decommissioned first haha..." Riley laughed as her voice weakened.
"Please don't "Permanently Shutdown"...
I will be...
very sad..." Bob robotically said copying Riley's words in a conversation they had in the past.
"Haha... I know Bob... I know..."
Riley felt frustration as tears fell from her eyes.
"I just wanted to change things, ya know?" Riley's faint voice echoed as she stared at the gray sky.
"I guess I won't be capturing every criminal with ya anymore..." Riley sadly sighed as life slowly faded away from her.
Bob watched as Riley's once optimistic and happy eyes filled with passion fade away.
"I. will. capture. every. criminal..." Bob swore to Riley.
Before Riley could completely fade away, she looked back at Bob as her faded eyes temporarily return with happiness and passion again, saying one final time:
"Of course you will!"
"You're Policeman Bob!"
As Bop's hacking program almost reset him, Policeman Bob remembered her final words and made a final desperate cry to keep his precious memories.
["You're Policeman Bob!"]
"I aM bOB.b.B.b.B!!!"
