Capítulo 42: Emergency alert

While handing out the certificate, Jayden held Jennifer's hand longer than anyone else. Until he was reminded by the MC, that there was another student waiting in line, he did not let her go. Even then, when he noticed that she was moving away, he held her arm and leaned forward.

Jennifer's heart skipped a beat and she closed her eyes. Looking at her rosy face, he felt like teasing her. But as everyone was present and looking at them, he controlled his temptation with great effort.

Instead, he just whispered in her ears, "Do not forget to wait after the ceremony for me! Meet me at the back gate and do not run away like usual. If you do that then tomorrow on the main page of every newspaper, I will publish our marriage certificate."

"I will not. Now let go of me! What are you doing in front of everyone?"

"What am I doing? I am just holding my wife's hand, what else?"

Jennifer pinched his fingers and made him release his grip. Without looking back, she ran away to her seat. Even though everyone felt slightly odd at their behavior, no one could openly comment on anything.

As one of them is this college's chairman and another came from an influential family. They wanted to keep their head intact and neither did they want to hurt their careers.

"What were you both talking about for so long?" Elina asked.

"Nothing!" Jennifer replied.

"Really? You are going to hide everything from now on to me?"

"Just stop it! This is between a husband and wife, why are you even interfering between us?"

Elina got hurt by those words. She really should stop interfering now! What is wrong with her? Why can't she just stop behaving so childishly?

"I am leaving! My dad has some work, so he wants to leave early and cannot stay for long."

"I am sorry! I didn't mean to be harsh. He just asked me to…"

"Stop! It's ok, It was my fault from the beginning and even now. Let us not talk about this anymore. I understand we both need some time off. Every time I look at you, I think about the grave sin I did to you. I am so sorry. I must have not done such a cruel thing to you. I am sorry. I will never let you see my face ever again. Bye"

Before Jennifer could stop her, Elina ran away without looking back. Jennifer tried to follow her but was stopped by a few bouncers.

"Madam, please follow us without getting us into trouble. It's an order and we cannot disobey our boss"

Jennifer looked at them and realized they used to work for Jayden. She turned her head and looked at Jayden who was sitting on the stage with a smirk.

"Cheap!" Jennifer muttered under her breath and decided to follow them.

A message popped up on her mobile.

'Sorry, I cannot let you escape once again. I need you today.'

Need me? Did he just send a message saying need me, after accepting that he cheated with her best friend? She turned and glared at him. I will definitely show him what he actually needs tonight?

After looking at her angry face, he looked down and noticed what he sent. Oops! Instead of typing 'I need to talk to you today', he sent I need you.

He did not stay for long and left in the next five minutes. He asked the vice-chairman to take care of the ceremony from thereon.

He almost ran towards the back gate where his wife was waiting. He did not want to make his wife wait for long. But when he reached the gate, he saw Elina was stuck with Jennifer and crying once again leaning on his wife's shoulders.

Why? Why can't he have a romantic dinner with his wife alone? Why must that nutcase stick around her all the time?

When Jennifer came out, she noticed Elina sitting next to a tree crying. She notified those bouncers and asked them to bring her along.

"Why are you crying? Stop it! I already told you it was not your fault multiple times. It is all Jayden's fault. Anyways, I have decided to divorce him. Let us just stay away from him. We do not need such a cheater in our life." Jennifer consoled Elina.

"What? Do you really want to divorce me? And that's what you wanted to discuss with me when you said we need to talk earlier? No! Never! I will never allow this. As per the agreement…" Jayden started to argue.

"Yes, as per the agreement! I added a new clause now. Since you had the nerve to cheat, then separation is the only way for both of us. I don't want to lose my friend for someone whom I am not familiar with…" Jennifer said strongly.

"Not familiar with? We are husband and wife on paper and also in real life We both have seen each other's naked body before. How much more familiarity do you need? I am not agreeing with this divorce thing. It was my fault to let you live outside however you want for some time. You better come home with me and do not even think about living separately from now on"

"Shut up! What are you saying in front of so many people? Don't you have any shame? Who looked at whose body naked? That day, I did not see anything properly. Believe me! "

"Fine, then! Even I did not see anything properly yet. Let us do that once again. Come home with me right now, I will show you and then you can see mine clearly. Later you can let me see..."

"What nonsense are you sprouting! Shut up! Shut the hell up." Jennifer whose face almost turned scarlet shouted at Jayden.

Still, Jayden did not want to accept defeat. so he tried to pull her away, while Jennifer held Elina's hand tight. So Elina got pulled along with her as Jennifer did not let her go. The pulling and pushing game continued for quite a long time until Elina burst out angrily.

"Let me go! You both won't stop until I kill myself, will you? Don't feel even the slightest pity for me? Can't you see how hurt I am now?..." Before she could even finish her complaints, Jayden's phone beeped.

This emergency alert only came when Aiden's in danger. Looking at his phone, he left Jennifer's hand immediately and rushed towards his car. Because of the force, Jennifer and Elina fell down. Jennifer realized that something serious was going on or else Jayden would have never let go of her hand.

Is Aiden in some sort of trouble? Jennifer ran behind him while pulling Elina along with her. She opened the back seat in a hurry, as Jayden may drive away. She first pushed Elina inside and then she hopped in.

"What do you think you guys are doing? Get out right away." Jayden said with red eyes.

"No! Didn't you message me saying you need me? So here I am." Jennifer said.

"Aren't you guys too cruel? I am still sitting here. How can you guys talk about such intimate things in front of me? It hurts! It hurts a lot! I already told you several times that I won't interfere with your lives anymore. So why won't you let me go?" Elina screeched.

"I said get out!" Jayden shouted at another end.

Jennifer just sat there holding Elina's left hand tightly, as she was now trying to unlock the car door.

"No!" Jennifer replied.

"What are you guys even doing? You people solve your couple issues among yourself and do not involve a third person like me. Let me out first. Jenny, you need to let go of my hands right now." Elina said while trying to remove her hands from Jennifer's tight grip.

"Shut up!" Jayden and Jennifer shouted at Elina at the same time.

"Look, I really want to be with you now very badly but a new mission came. So I need to go, my love. Please try to understand! Go and wait for me in our home. I will be back soon. Once I am back, we will discuss clearly everything later. I promise. Now please get out of the car." Jayden begged.

"No! I want to come with you on this mission. I have combat skills and I can fight very well. I have even finished several missions along with my dad from when I was eight years old. So I would be of help to you. Just let count me in. Anyways, a wife's duty is to follow her husband everywhere he goes." Jennifer said.

"No! You cannot come on this mission with me. Maybe some other less dangerous mission. But not this one."

"Why? Because I will find out that you and Aiden are not one and the same? You both are identical and look similar but are actually different individuals?"

"How do you know? I mean what are you saying? Aiden and Jayden are one and the same. Different names but the same individual. I am Aiden as well as Jayden. I mean I am both of them with different names."

"So, there is an Aiden? And I did not sleep with Jayden but Aiden? Jenny didn't you say something similar before. Is it really true?" Elina asked in awe.
