Capítulo 2: Life 002
Shit what should i do now? Run? Not a good choice, i can't leave this girl too. Alright let's try to evade and counterattack. Oh yeah, i remember that i every join a kung fu club when i was 7. I think i will be fine for now.
And then the mysterious man swing his knife and missed. "Damn you kiddo, you're gonna pay for what you did."
He attack me again with full of anger, i can feel it. Im kinda nervous right now, i don't know why. I think i just gonna kick him and finish this off.
Hyaaah, i tried to kick him in his face. But he block it with his right arm. Then i back up a little bit to gain a good position to attack.
"What a strong kick you little trash." He rushed to me and trying to stab me with his knife.
This is my first time fighting an armed enemy. When i was training kung fu, i never faced an armed enemy before. I evade and punch his stomach.
"Arkhh.. you little-" before even he finished his line i kick his face and then he fell.
And then when i looked back, the girl is crying and come to me "Thanks for saving me."
"No problem, umm can i ask you something?" Ah, she's pretty cute i think.
"What is it?"
"Why did this man trying to chase and kill you?"
"I don't know, when i try to run away from my house. This man is chasing me so here i am."
Weird, why there's no one helping her and why did he chase her. Something is not right. Maybe i will ask her something about this.
"Do you have family problem or something?"
"Umm, kinda. Maybe because of that?"
"Hahhh, why did your family send a killer? Did you do something bad to your family?"
The girl then stop crying and then she jump to me. I see her eyes still wet and her body still shivering. I feel like i did wrong kicking someone in front a girl. This is terrible, i think im just gonna say sorry.
But looks like she is shivering not because of me. I feel relaxed after that. I though she is scared because i punch and kick that man.
Suddenly i hear the man coughing
"Damn kid, you didn't know you mess with who. Let me tell you something, this is not your problem. Don't intervere our problem or you will regret what will happened to you."
What this man's talking about? Is he insane? He tries to kill an innocent girl and telling me i will regret helping her?
"Don't joke man, you try to kill her."
"You, you don't know what her family has done to our boss."
Boss? Is her family working at bad place? Ah this is bad, i might be doing something wrong here. I couldn't do anything right now except run.
"Let's run away."
She nod her head and follow me to my house. I know that my house is probably not the best place to hide for now. But i can't think anymore where i should hide, no way i involved my friend this kind of problem.
Then i drag her to my house. There is my parents of course and i need to tell them. But will my parents understand why i bring her here? That's gonna be a bad problem too if they were misunderstand about this.
"Im home!"
"Welcome.. back.. Who is that Ray?" My mom was silent and shocked.
"Im sorry mom, but i will explain this."
"Why did you do this Ray? Don't you know who is she?"
"Huh?"
What is my mom thinking about? She is a girl of course, or my mom know her? I mean she is beautiful and cute.
"She is the daughter of Robby Fabio, the biggest mafia in this city. And you bring her to our house? What are you thinking?"
Huh? The daughter of mafia? Oooh shit, that's why she is chased by a murderer. But i don't have any more choice. I can't let someone kill her.
"But she is not a bad girl mom. She was chased by a murderer that's why i help her. I can't let a murderer to kill someone right?"
Then my mom come close to me and slap my face. This is the first time my mom ever do that to me. Since i was little, my parents never harass me even a little bit. If they reprimand me when i'm wrong, they will treat me kindly and without violence. If i'm hurt they always there to help me. When i was hungry they always cook my food without asking me. I know my parents are like that. But i don't know why today for the first time in my life, my mom just slapped me like i'm doing something really bad.
I can't speak anything to her. I mean yeah i still shocked that she is the daughter of mafia. But she is not a bad person. She needs help that's why i want to help her. I really want to tell my mother that but im scared looking her face. This is my first time seeing my mother with that scary face. I just don't know what to do.
"I... i'm sorry mother, i didn't know who she is. But she need help that's why i help her."
"Without knowing who she is? Are you that idiot Ray? It's a common knowledge that you shouldn't mess with someone you didn't know. Oh my god Ray..." My mother crying and yelling at me without stop.
I... i got no words. This is my first time in this kind of situation. Because since i was little, no one ever get mad at me. Yes, no one, ever. No one ever scream and cry infront of me. That's why i don't know how to deal with this situation.
"Umm.. i'm sorry Ray and i'm sorry Ray's mother. I don't want to disturb you guys but i'm really sorry. I've been chased by a murderer and my father tells me to run away from our house. And when i was running, Ray saw me and try to help me. That's all, that's not his fault. That is my fault. Please don't mad at him, just scold me if you want."
Lia's trying to calm my mother. But it's no use. My mother drag her to outside of my house and yell at her "Don't ever comeback to here again, i don't want to deal with mafia and their family that's all."
My mother must feel angry, sad, and scared. I myself feel like that too, but i feel that this is wrong. I can't let a girl like her alone and get killed by another murderer. It's not right! I must do something or else something bad to her will happened.
"Mom, please just hide her for this night. It's too dangerous outside. She might get killed."
My mother slap me again and this time it's really hard and this time i fell. Her eyes looks like a crazy women, a psychopath. It's too scary looking my mother like this.
"Ray, do you know what happened to your father? Do you know why we never get rich? Do you know why? That's because your father is threatned by Robby. He always take your father's money and he hide it. He tries his best to keep us safe from him. And you bring that bastard's daughter to our house? Are you trying to get us killed?"
I didn't know that. No, not like that. No one tell me what happened, that's why. If like that why dad keep telling me to not to look for a side job. I can help him to make a living. I'm not a little child anymore. Damn it, why now? Really? Even my mother hide this to me. So they must've hiding lots of secret from me. Why? Why don't my parents trust their own son?
"Mom, even though she is the daughter of that mafia. She is not him! And you know that too right?"
"She is him! She is his daughter! Don't you understand? If you mess with his daughter, they will kill us. You don't know how cruel is he."
"But we can just tell him that we saved her right? And the problem is solve just like that. Why can't you help me mom?"
"You still don't understand don't you? He doesn't care about other people's opinion. He is cruel, he kills everyone if he doesn't like. He doesn't give a shit about your opinion. And you little bitch, tell your father that no one chasing you anymore. And don't ever come here anymore!"
"Okay ma'am, i'll go."
She leave our house with tear. She can't even talk anymore. Maybe my mom's right about how cruel is her father. But that doesn't mean she is cruel too. She looks like shy person rather than a cruel one. I just can't stand with this kind of situation. I really want to help her.
"I'll help her mom, and you can't stop me."
"WAIT, WHY?"
I ignore my mom and run from my house and drag the girl with me. Sorry mom, i want to tell her that but i just can't. I run without looking back. So the problem must've been solved right? That mafia won't go to my parents' house. And the murderer won't go there too.
"Why? Why did you leave your mom?" The girl still crying and trembling.
"I just think that my mom is wrong. That's all." Yes, i only say that to her. I can't say that i really don't want her to be killed or something like that. Oh yeah, i still didn't know her name yet. Maybe this is a good chance to ask.
"Um.. can i ask your name?"
She rub her eyes "Jessie. Jessie Fabio."
What a beautiful name, i guess. "Nice to meet you Jessie. My name is Raysen, you can call me Ray." She looks really weak althought she is the daughter of mafia. I wonder how is her dad treating her. Maybe her dad isn't that bad as my mom said.
We still running, we don't know where to go. I touch my pocket and take my wallet. "Ah i still got 200 dollar, we can go to hotel."
"I think hotel is dangerous now, i mean they can track us right?"
Ah she is right. "Um.. well for now just run and then we need to find a place hide." I'm the worst. I run with this girl without knowing where to go. I feel like i failed even thought she is saved for now.
Suddenly i hear a gunshot from my back.
"Stop right there you kid. Where do you think you take my daughter to?"
Eh, my daughter? That means, he is Jessie's father. This is my chance to save her. "Oh, nice to meet you. I'm trying to get her to safe place."
And then that man is getting close to me and then punch me in the face. "You little brat. Who's your name?"
"I.. i'm Raysen Hollins. Um, i'm helping her. I didn't try to kill her. I just saved her from the murderer."
"Bullshit! So you're Tobby Hollins' son huh. I must give that man a lesson. Fuck off here kid. Don't show your face anymore infront of me and my daughter."
"Wait.. wait this is a missunderstanding. Why? I did nothing wrong." What just happened? Why did he.. What?
"Dad, he is right. He just saved me from the murderer. Please dad."
"I don't believe this kid and his dad is a piece of shit. Don't ever meet him again Jessie or else i will kill this kid. Come on let's go home." He took Jessie to his car and leave me alone in the street.
I can hear that Jessie's crying and trying to tell his dad that i'm not wrong. She tried, but it's all over. The most important thing is you're fine, that's all.
I tried to stand up after that punch. It really hurts alot. I never get a punch like, too much power.
And then i go back to my house. But then my mother already packed my stuff and leave it infront of the house. Then i see my father going out from the house and come to me.
"You fool! You useless kid. Why don't you understand? It's been a mistake raising you. You didn't even let me handle the problem. Why did you do this? You know who is he right? You make me.. oh my... GET OUT FROM MY HOUSE. Don't ever show your face again!" And then my dad go back to the house.

Why...
I'm not wrong right?
I did the right thing right?
I just don't understand anymore. My parents just kicked me from the house. Why? They don't even tell me. Is this how you treat your son?
"YOU CALL YOURSELF A PARENTS HUH?"
