Zoey bit her lower lip, her heart fluttered at his simple yet heavy statement. How could a person accept someone with a terrible past? Was he not afraid of realizing what kind person he was married to?

This deep trust and love he was giving her was enough to move mountains for her. It was enough for her to think it was fine to tell him everything because he would accept her no matter what. 

"You don't have to give me the details, I believe you." Watching her expressions soften, Matthew Xi squeezed her hand gently with a loving smile. "Let the past remain where it belongs. What matters now is the present and the future..." Staring at her straight in the eye, Matthew Xi expressed his heart as whatever explanation she would say, it didn't matter anymore. 

Be it a petty reason or a grave one, that didn't matter. His love for her wouldn't change; too late for him to reverse the name Zoey that was deeply carved in his heart.
