About 8 months after my birth I had enough magic in me to be able to do about 5 Lumos in a day and I also started to mix up my training by not only focusing on my magic pool but also on control.
At first, I struggled with changing the intensity of the light that I created and when about 2 weeks later I could comfortably do that, I also added the exercise of changing the color of light I created.
The different kinds of exercises took different amounts of magic from me, for example, I could create two dim Lumos for the magic worth of one normal Lumos and vice versa for high-intensity Lumos, I had to use two normal Lumos worth of magic. And similarly the violet, indigo and blue color light took more magic while creating red, orange, and yellow light took less energy.
So maybe there is some kind of scientific explanation to magic and magic may be just another form of energy because if I remember correctly the energy decreases as we go up in rainbow colors VIBGYOR.
After I had enough magic to cast about 5 Lumos, I start trying to do the levitation charm "WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA". I started really small at first because I didn't want to end up unconscious like the first time. The first thing I tried my hand on was a baby pacifier that my grandma had gotten me.
I sat in the crib and put the pacifier in front of me and started saying the incantation while pointing at it, at first, there was nothing happening for the first half an hour. Just when I was starting to get frustrated, I remembered the first time I tried the Lumos charm and calmed down. I cleared my mind of everything and looked at the pacifier and made a clear picture in my mind of how it looked and how it would look when it would start hovering. After about a minute to get that picture clear and sturdy, I said the incantation, and then little by little the pacifier started to hover in my crib.
After about two seconds my concentration broke and my pacifier fell in the crib.
When I checked by feeling my magic I had about a Lumos worth of magic left in me so it meant that the levitation charm took about 4 Lumos worth of magic. So according to my previous hypothesis, I was right about the logic that as you go from Lumos to Levitation charm to Incendio the amount of magic required increases exponentially, and the reason why the charms like the summoning charm are taught in 4th year is that they require more magic.
After that day I practiced the Levitation charm 4 days a week and for the rest of the three days, I trained my magic control by using the variation of the Lumos charm. I also made the discovery that keeping the spell going for some time also consumes my magic as time passes, not as much as the amount it took to cast the magic but about 1/4 of it every 10 seconds. So I was only able to cast the levitation charm for about 10 seconds when I had 5 Lumos worth of magic.
As my birthday was getting closer I started getting increasingly proficient in the Lumos charm, and after a practice session one day I made the discovery that it took about 10 percent less magic to perform the Lumos than it did before. Before I found out about it I was thinking of not practicing the Lumos charm anymore because I was able to perform it regularly but I didn't do it after finding that the more proficient you are in a spell the less amount of magic you use.
To make calculation later easier I made the amount of magic it took to cast a normal Lumos before I was proficient in it into a basic uint of magic L, so that means the amount of magic it takes me to cast a Lumos charm right now is 0.9L and to cast a levitation charm it takes 4L and to keep it on it takes about 1L per 10 sec.
I also started adding variation to my levitation charm as the amount of my magic increased over time. At first, I was only able to make the pacifier hover but after some time I could get it to go up and down as I wished. By the time it was a week before my birthday I had the pacifier under my total control and I could move it in all directions. I still didn't have enough magic to lift heavy things because once I tried the levitation charm on a stuffed toy by the side of my crib but I could only lift it up about 2-3 cm above the ground before my magic was about to be emptied so I stopped. That experiment also proved that the amount of magic required to perform levitation is directly proportional to the mass of the object.
I also decided that I would only do the simplest chams until I am about 3 years old but not do the dangerous pieces of magic like transfiguration, DADA or offensive charms like the banishing charm or flame charm, etc because neither do I have a controlled practice area nor any safety measure for when something goes wrong, because believe me when I say that babies are really fragile and a single mistake can cause irreversible harm and I was not really that desperate to learn something I would obviously be learning in the future. So I will only focus on increasing my magical pool and my magical control until I am old enough.
A day before my birthday I finally found out the date for the first time because there was no way to tell the date in my room. I found out that I was born on 21/5/1978, which means that I would be the same age as the weasely twins and two years older than Harry and Neville.
Tomorrow is my birthday so I will do no magic today because from what I could gather from my mom there will be a small party and I don't really want to be tired of so let's get a lot of sleep today....zz...zz..z.z...
