"I accidentally stumbled upon it on the ground behind our college. It looked like someone had willingly thrown it. I took it with me and when I opened it after returning home… I realized that it was yours!"

"But it has no name on it!" Ayden dug his fingers in the grass as she began to touch a nerve.

"It does not but it has a star at the end of every page," Kiara said, staring at him who had been avoiding her gaze ever since their conversation began.

Ayden's fingers froze in the grass and his eyes snapped at her. He could not conceal the sheer disbelief that flickered in them upon realizing how truly she had been observing him.
