Capítulo 20: Chapter 18: The Lost Forest, Absolute Ground Part 1
When Kyle opened his eyes again,he was inside the Lost Forest.
The forest was vast, thick, and diverse. Its canopy was marked by spruce, sycamore, and birch, who left just enough light for a flood of sprouts to make use of the moist and fertile bottom layer below.
Thin vines hung from every tree, and a hodgepodge of flowers, which claimed remnants of light, added colorful variety to the otherwise amber lower level.
A clamor of beastly sounds, which were caused by birds and insects, and mutated beasts filled the air, and were in harmony with the splashing of fish in a nearby lake.
Kyle advanced slowly towards the lake, crouching down he looks at the surface of the water. What is reflected there was an extremely handsome pale white face, crimson eyes. Touching his own face he sighed before muttering to himself.
'' I don't know where the knowledge came from, but I know that I'm a vampire, a totally different races but there is more than that. So tell me what am I? ''
There's long silence before a cold and haughty voice coming from the depth of Kyle soul answered.
[ Pathetic, you refused to acknowledge what you truly are, running away. You even need a woman approval before taking action, you.. ]
'' Enough! Just answer my question '' Kyle interrupted the owner of cold voice.
The cold voice laughed hard saying:
[ Hahahaha, So you want to know, Sorry there is no free lunch in this world ]
Kyle face darkened as he says:
'' What do you want? "
[ Oh! I just want to come out once again. I mean let me take over your body for two hours, and I will tell you what you want to know] said the cold voice.
'' Out of question '' Kyle instantly rejected this suggestion.
[ Then, don't bother me anymore] said the cold voice before disappearing not answering anymore no matter how many times Kyle called him.
Kyle was furious, this bastard want to come out once again. As if I would allow that, last time it was Emea that I killed. Who knows what would happen if I allow him to take over my body once more.
Back then, I was a simple mortal living a simple life with her even knowing who she was. I knew I would die before her, nevertheless I was ready and happy to experience this short but wonderful dream, but because of the jealousy of two bastards I was killed, she brought me back but I became something even myself I don't know, I killed her with my own hands because I wasn't myself. Ah! thinking about it now, it's laughable because as he said there is no free lunch in this world, nobody can bring the dead back without consequence. What I am? I'm afraid, truly afraid to one day wake up and see my hands stained with the blood of my loved ones because I was not myself.
Thinking about this Kyle can't help but tremble, his hands were shaking, he's truly afraid imaging that possibility.
Suddenly Kyle fell chill on his back, turning his head to look behind him. Kyle saw the culprit of the sudden chill that assaulted him.
A creature of overwhelming aura stood there staring at him. It body was massive, surpassing two meters in height, and its skin was dark red, as if smeared with blood. Its have an extremely muscular Physical, with bulging biceps, its face resembled an oni, with two splendid and sharp fangs growing from its lower jaw.
'' Oh! it's a Bloody Ogre, Who would have thought that the first monster I will encounter would be this one. '' Kyle muttered before emitting powerful killing intent and say '' Scram ''
The Bloody Ogre froze in place feeling scared because of Kyle killing intent.
However, after few minutes he became enraged. 'How dare you. You lowly human, You will pay for this, this king will kill you. said the Bloody Ogre.
Immediately, the Bloody Ogre reached for a nearby tree, after easily uprooting it, he threw it towards Kyle.
Kyle expression darkened, he stepped in the opposite direction but because of the difference in gravity, he was not fast enough, even though he managed to dodge the tree he got splashed with the dirt who was at the bottom of the uprooted tree.
As if the gravity isn't restraining him, the Bloody ogre uprooted many trees and threw it towards Kyle, the latter was constantly dodging.
Suddenly, Kyle used [Shrink] to teleport behind the Bloody ogre, because Kyle had sealed most of his power before coming to the academy, his [Shrink] has a limited area use. Actually Kyle can be compared to a peak Legendary tier mutant.
However, this is more than enough to deal with this mutated beast. Thinking that, Kyle send a hand chop towards the head of the Bloody ogre, the latter hastily brought his right hand and punched Kyle hand chop.
Bang!
Sound was heard when the two hands collided, Kyle staggered with his arm feeling a little numb. What a powerful physical, thought the two.
The Bloody ogre roared Roaaar! before suddenly advancing, he was extremely fast, in a blink of an eye he was already in front of Kyle, the two started exchanging rain of punchs at extremely high speed.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Every time they clashed it will cause the air to tremble, lot of trees were uprooted because the two were exchanging blows with only their physicals while moving around.
After one hour of fierce exchanges, every tree around them are now laying down broken in many pieces, the two culprits were standing there laughing, this exchange ended in draw.
Round 2 is about to begin.
Kyle created a sword made of pure flame, it is red in color, on the other side nobody knows since when a black club of two meters long appeared in the hands of the Bloody ogre, Bloody in short, nicknames given to the Bloody ogre by Kyle.
Kyle and Bloody clashed, sword and black club clashes, there is Clangs! sound followed by a *Boom* a big explosion occurred sending shockwave in all directions.
Kyle was pushed three steps back, it seems that with weapons in their hands he wasn't Bloody match, also he was astonished because his flame sword didn't manage to cut the giant black club in two like he was expecting. The material used to make this black club must be exceptional, and extremely heat resistant.
The two continued to exchanges blows using flame sword and and black club destroying another bunch of trees.
Kyle decided that now he has vented enough, besides he started to feel like he will run out of juice pretty soon, this fight have already lasted more than five hours.
Having come to decision, Kyle muttered [Ignite] immediately his flame sword bursted in big flame that swallow Bloody. Bloody used his black club to shield his face, the remaining part of his body were engulfed in red flame.
Bloody threw himself on the ground started rolling wanting to use the dirt to extinguish the flame. Too bad, this doesn't seem to be working, he was miserably hailing, soon his body started to emit the smell of a roasted meat.
Kyle advanced wanting to deliver the finishing blow, but instead he was tackled down, Bloody with his half cooked body mounted him and started raining punch on him, sharp nails appeared on Kyle right hand, using this hand he pierced through Bloody heart retrieving his crystal core, red in color.
Bloody body became stiff and started slowly falling, after few seconds he falls on top of Kyle, when you look at his face you could see that he was smiling. This was a great fight it what he thought.
After managing to extricate himself from Bloody body which was on top of him, Kyle smiled and decided to rest not too far from Bloody.
Half an hour later, Kyle is now feeling better. After incinerating Bloody, he took off his now tattered clothes and jumped into the nearby lake to take a bath.
Fifteen minutes later he finished,he was now dressed in fresh black clothes. He started advancing while muttering.
'' I wonder where Emea and the others are ''
