Capítulo 19: I Will Not Tolerate It!
On the day of the Lu Group Gala, Tang Lin took four hours to get ready. Lu Shen insisted on hiring a makeup stylist to do her makeup because he didn't want her to go all out and put heavy makeup. The stylist was told by Shen to make her face as natural as possible. He knew that his fiancée was going to be the most beautiful woman there when he looked at her from her mirror. She hadn't even put on her dress yet and Lu Shen was already willing to throw the company away, so he could take her to a private island for their marriage and live there for the rest of their lives.
"Mr. Lu, your fiancée's face is already so beautiful without the makeup and I can tell she takes very good care of it. She's a rare beauty! I didn't put much makeup on her because I was afraid too much makeup would hide her natural beauty, so I only touched it up a bit." The makeup artist praised Tang Lin.
Lin became shy from the stylist's remarks and she thanked her.
When the hair stylist arrived and started doing Tang Lin's hair, Lu Shen went downstairs to the living room and waited for her to be finished.
Meanwhile, in the room, the hair stylist put Tang Lin's hair into an elegant bun and a few strands of hair were hanging loose at the sides. She put on some of her bracelets from her jewelry shop, so hopefully, the wealthy ladies would take notice of it and buy from her store. Her beautiful necklace and her diamond earrings were from their newest collection, Midnight Stars. However, unlike the other jewelries in the collection, these two were limited edition and it was very hard for people to get their hands on them. Tang Lin was the owner, so she could have anything she wanted from the store.
She put on the dark blue custom-made dress that she had specially made for her. The designer had even put Tang Lin's initials in a small cursive print on the inside of her dress. The dress showed off Tang Lin's collarbone and it enhanced her beauty and elegance. It hugged her body in the right places and it showed off her curves. The dress went all the way down to her four-inch black heels.
She was so beautiful, but the only thing that she noticed as she looked at herself in the tall mirror was her engagement ring. This would be the first time going to a social event as Lu Shen's fiancée. Her appearance boosted her self-confidence and she was sure that she was going to give her and her fiancée a good reputation.
Lu Shen saw both of the stylists leaving, so he assumed that she was done and Tang Lin would be coming down any time soon.
"Mr. Lu~"
Lu Shen looked up from his phone and saw his beautiful fiancée standing at the top of the staircase.
Her dress swayed as she walked down. The chandelier hanging near the stairs shined light on her jewelries and it was as if Lu Shen was really staring at Midnight Stars.
She walked towards him and put her arms around his neck. He naturally put his arms around her waist.
"I can't believe my woman is this beautiful. I feel like I'm dreaming." Lu Shen really struck gold!
"I can say the same for you. My future husband is so handsome today!" Tang Lin said as she pulled her fiancée's face towards her and kissed him slowly on the lips.
Lu Shen was wearing a dark blue suit and he styled his hair. Tang Lin couldn't resist kissing him earlier because of his attractive, handsome face.
Tang Lin put her arm around his arm and they walked outside to the car.
They arrived at the Palace hotel and saw a pathway with bunches of reporters on each side. The reporters were only allowed to take pictures of the people attending the gala and they weren't allowed to go inside, so they had to take the chance to catch some news before they all went in. The CEOs and their spouses would walk down the pathway as the reporters took their pictures.
People snapped a lot of pictures when they saw Lu Ying and Tang Qingyu walking down the pathway holding each other's arm.
Cars came one by one and the reporters noticed the most expensive car that was there. When it pulled up, they noticed the license plate and the numbers on it indicated that the car belonged to a member of the Lu family. Every car that belonged to the Lu family had the first digits of 3246, so every time it was on the road, nobody dared to honk at or offend anyone in those cars.
The reporters all got their cameras ready to take pictures of the wealthiest and most famous CEO, Lu Shen, and they were wondering who the lucky lady that he was going to bring, since his sister had already arrived earlier with CEO Tang.
When the bodyguard came out of the car and opened the car door for Shen, the reporters saw the stunning Lu Shen come out and walk around the car to open the door for someone else.
They saw a beautiful young lady take the hand of Lu Shen and she came out of the car. They were both matching each other, since they were both wearing dark blue. Tang Lin then held his arm and walked down the pathway with the man next to her.
One of the reporters pointed out, "Isn't that CEO Tang's sister, Tang Lin?! Isn't she also the daughter of Tang Wei?"
All of them looked at her.
"Damn! It is her! What is the relationship between Lu Shen and Tang Lin?!"
"Their outfits are matching! Such a perfect couple!"
"They also both have matching rings!! Are they engaged?"
"No way! She's most likely just a temporary woman for Lu Shen. She's just for show! He'll dump her sooner or later."
Suddenly, the couple, that was walking while posing for pictures, stopped in their tracks and they both turned their smiles to an angry expression. They glared simultaneously at the woman who said such a thing about them.
Everyone felt the threatening and suffocating atmosphere from the couple, so everyone quieted down. The woman noticed that they heard her and she wanted to go hide in a hole.
Lu Shen motioned for his bodyguards to throw that woman out and to keep her out of their sight. Everyone was frightened and speechless when they saw what happened.
"Please! Ms. Tang! Forgive me! I will not say such a thing again!" The reporter begged as she looked at Tang Lin. In return, she got a cold glare from her.
"Take her away," Lin said as the bodyguards took her out of their sights.
Lu Shen cleared his throat and said, "If there are any other reporters that work in the same company as her, I would like to ask you to leave the premises. Lu Group will not allow reporters from that company to report news about events arranged by the Lu family anymore. I will not tolerate anyone insulting me and my fiancée and spreading around false rumors about us."
The engaged couple left the crowd shaking in fear. Poor lady, she felt the couple's wrath, however, she was stupid enough to offend the Devil King and Devil Queen. They were lucky that they hadn't done the same thing as her, or else they would've lost their jobs!
Crowds of reporters left because they were from the same company as that woman. They were going to file complaints about that reporter because it was her fault that that they didn't get good news for their company. She would most likely be fired after this incident.
This was big news, too! The Young Master of the Lu family and the Young Mistress of the Tang family were engaged! It sucked for that one company because they were now unable to report news about the Lu family, so they would miss all of the good news.
