Capítulo 27: Noble Character

Editor: Atlas Studios

It was 4 vs. 1! Fatty's suggestion was beyond Smoking Without Fire's disapproval!

After he clenched his teeth and approved this suggestion, everyone got up and walked to where the Undead Thief NPC pleading for help was.

After being pierced by a knife in the back, the Undead Thief NPC hadn't actually died. He told everyone in a trembling manner, "Help… Help me. I… I'm a member of the Observation Group of the Supreme Presbyterian Church. Just… Just now, a band of bandits appeared in Queros Heights. I was instructed… to investigate and found… found this band of bandits were actually on the run from the Holy Order Assembly… If possible, I would like to ask you guys… to wipe off this band of bandits. Otherwise… please bring this news to the Supreme Presbyterian Church…"

Then, he died…

They naturally had to continue moving forward. The Gerov Bandit Camp was located in the depths of this forest. As long as they followed this path, they would reach that place. This didn't pose any difficulty. However, on the way, everyone encountered a pack of Forest Wolves.

This pack of Forest Wolves was relatively large in number, as there were more than forty. The wolves blocked the path to the Gerov Bandit Camp.

Upon seeing so many of them, no matter how dumb one was, they would know that they shouldn't use a melee class to draw the monsters over.

It was also night in the dungeon. Of course, it was not so dark that they couldn't even see their extended hands. The players could still see the scenery clearly but couldn't see far away, as the area was shrouded by hazy, dense fog.

Although these Forest Wolves were sparsely scattered, because they were sleeping on the ground at night, nobody knew whether they would alarm one of them and awaken them.

"Brother Chicken, should I make the Imps draw them away?" Playing With Fire turned and asked for Fatty's advice.

Fatty froze before he replied while feeling muddle-headed, "Oh, let's go."

Since there was no commander besides Smoking Without Fire, the other three players treated Fatty as their commander! This was not just because Fatty had objected to Smoking Without Fire. At the very least… this Venomancer's voice sounded more convincing…

The Flaming Imp that Playing With Fire had summoned was a little imp covered with fire. The Pyromancer Class belonged to a typical summoning class and had strong powers that could summon abyssal creatures. Although they had to rely on a Flaming Imp in the early stages for a long time, after they learned to summon the Blaze Nightmare, the Fire Monarch, the Hellfire Giant, and other powerful skills, the combat power of this class would become even more powerful than the Holy Order Assembly's Ice and Fire Mages!

After Playing With Fire controlled the hopping Flaming Imp and made it move some distance to the front, it shouted oddly and tossed a firebomb out, hitting one of the sleeping Forest Wolves!

The Forest Wolf naturally wasn't happy about being awakened. Two other Forest Wolves nearby were also awakened by the explosion of the flame bomb. As a result, the three Forest Wolves ran toward the Flaming Imp.

Although this was somewhat unsatisfactory, drawing three monsters at once was Playing With Fire's limit. Anything else would require more precise plans.

Along with the three Forest Wolves, the Flaming Imp ran back over to everyone. Death Knight Bookworm moved forward to tank them while the rest were supporting him with their attacks from behind. The Forest Wolves didn't have a very high level, as they were only at Level 2 2-Star. However, they were more in number, so the party had to be wary of the attacks.

This time, Smoking Without Fire properly waited for the chance to heal Bookworm and didn't fight over the contribution points. He knew that now that Fatty had brought it up, the others were staring at him.

At first, Fatty had warned him. When Playing With Fire made use of the Flaming Imp to attack and draw one Forest Wolf, the burden on Bookworm was reduced. However, Fatty was somewhat preoccupied at the moment. Hence, he didn't say a word. He only focused on the Forest Wolf the others were concentrating on. After releasing two Corrosion Skills, he used the Miasma Skill and attacked one with one move after another.

He was currently focused on carefully observing the distribution of the Forest Wolves. Since there was no hope of clearing the dungeon successfully, the best way was to try to get familiar and remember each segment of the dungeon before analyzing it. Only this way could they succeed the second time.

In fact, when they encountered the pack of Forest Wolves blocking the path, Fatty vaguely had some thoughts…

After spending some time to wipe out the three Forest Wolves, he looked at the EXP obtained. It was lower than killing the three Human Thieves. Each of them could only obtain 60 EXP.

Such a pack of wolves was probably there so the players would farm EXP. Despite their large number, only two kinds of items were dropped. The first kind was Forest Wolf Teeth, forging materials, and some Weapon Blueprints, while the second kind was Tattered Fur and tailor-made armor and equipment.

With patience, Fatty and the party drew the Forest Wolves over one by one, which gave them a lot of EXP. They obtained a total of 2,760 EXP from 46 Forest Wolves. He could almost level up to Level 13, but he only obtained a huge pile of wolf teeth and fur.

Forging materials were hard to obtain and comparatively precious. The players would spend their Party Contribution Points to purchase them. However, such a primary material only made the free allocation mode divide them in the end.

After killing all the Forest Wolves, they continued walking down the path and finally reached the last segment of the dungeon, which was the Gerov Bandit Camp!

This was a simple camp. One could see that there were only a few tents made of shabby yellow tarpaulin. Not far outside, some sharp tree stumps posing as fences surrounded them to prevent the invasion of wild animals. In the camp were more than ten bandits that looked the same as the Human Thieves they had encountered in the beginning. Their faces were covered with face cloths and they were each holding a dagger in their hands while wandering and patrolling.

Right in the middle of the camp sat the Dungeon Boss, who was beside the campfire that was surrounded by the shabby tents. His name was Bandit Chief Gerov!

Although Gerov was a Human Thief, he didn't cover his face. He had a huge scar, which was the typical, evil look of a wicked man. Two other bandits sat beside him by the campfire, Deputy Bandit Chief Jason and Bellamy.

Gerov was a Level 2 4-Star Boss, while Jason and Bellamy were Level 2 3-Star Elites.

This was where the difficulty of the dungeon lay. The bandits roaming around the periphery were easy to deal with. At the right timing, when they were apart from other bandits while they were patrolling, the party could draw them with a long-range attack one by one to kill them. However, the two Elites and Boss beside the campfire were not that easy to draw away because they didn't get up to roam around. Thus, there was no way to divert them.

If there was an attack, the three of them would flock over right away…

Of course, it was also wrong to say that there was no way to kill them. They could attack when the two Elite Deputy Bandit Chiefs were drawn away.

However, because they were in this party, it was not easy to find someone to pin down the Elites. There should be a way to complete the quest and not let these Elites kill them. Otherwise, the Elites would turn back to join the battle, which would lead to a domino effect that would cause each of the players to die!

Although Fatty was confident about pinning down an Elite, because his shoes didn't add much movement speed, he supposed that he would be caught by the Elites. If he was attacked, Fatty didn't believe that Smoking Without Fire would heal him. That guy had fallen out with him, so he probably would just look without doing anything.

Thus, Fatty decided not to do that.

However, when Crayon Knife and the others asked for his opinion with their eyes, Fatty pretended he didn't see. Did this group of players really think that he was an expert? This was his first time in the Dark Council Camp's dungeon…

After seeing them looking at him anxiously, he could only say with a sigh, "I can try to command, but let's be candid here. I'm only confident about killing one Elite. As for the Boss, don't even dream of it. Everyone should be prepared to have a Total Party Kill."

"Why?" Crayon Knife asked in confusion. "Brother Chicken, I saw many parties succeed during their first dungeon. If you command, we should at least stand a chance, right?"

Bookworm and Playing With Fire nodded their heads, approving of Crayon Knife's opinion. Only Smoking Without Fire remained expressionless.

"That's very simple. We're not prepared well enough!" Fatty explained. "First, Bookworm, your Physical Armor points are too low. Although you can tank the enemies, you should know that when we kill the Boss, we'll have to kill all three of them. After a long period, the pressure of healing will increase because the healer might not have enough mana! This is a joint effort. It does not just depend on whether you can tank."

"Second, Crayon Knife, if my guess is right, your shoes are still the ones you got from the Novice Village. Those shoes add 20 to speed, right?" Fatty asked.

"Yes! How did you know?" Crayon Knife nodded his head.

"I can see that, of course. Due to the lesser skills of the Thieves in the early stages, the true power output is affected!" Fatty added. "Therefore, the most important thing for the Thief at this stage is not a weapon, but a pair of shoes with faster movement speed. This way, the Thief can take charge of pinning down the enemies. As long as you can pin down one Elite, maybe we have hope. Unfortunately, I suppose you won't be able to do that…"

Crayon Knife nodded his head thoughtfully.

"Based on these two reasons, I don't think we have any hope of clearing the dungeon!" Fatty then added, "If you guys hadn't entered the dungeon in a hurry but had inquired about these things, I might have had a solution. However, we're already in here, so I can't do anything…"

Fatty was actually very talented at calculations. This had been evident when he'd used to play Underwear Farm. All the things he had said were basically the problems of the party. As for the mistakes in their teamwork, he didn't bother mentioning them.

"Then… Brother Chicken, how do we kill them?" Playing With Fire hesitated before he asked.

"Our goal has to be lower!" Fatty said. "Stop thinking about the Boss. We can't kill him. Our goal is to do our best to kill an Elite Deputy Bandit Chief. Playing With Fire, after starting the attack, use the Flaming Imp to divert one Elite Deputy Chief. Bookworm, choose one of the Elite Deputy Chiefs to attack. Playing With Fire, you will straightaway divert another one. Then, Crayon Knife, you will work with Bookworm to attack that Elite!"

Fatty told Smoking Without Fire, "Although I know you are not convinced, I don't need you to do much. You only need to do your best to heal Bookworm and Crayon Knife!"

"What about you?" Smoking Without Fire asked in confusion. "What are you doing?"

After exhaling, Fatty answered, "I'll draw away the Boss! You guys have to remember that I can only persist for a short time. You have to hurry up and kill that Elite before I'm killed by the Boss!"

"Brother Chicken, you…" Everyone was shocked. They hadn't expected Fatty to take the initiative to take on the most difficult task, which was to draw away the Boss. For a moment, apart from Crayon Knife, even Smoking Without Fire couldn't help but feel great respect for him.

Fatty couldn't help but bitterly smile this time. In fact, he didn't want to draw away the Boss. It was just that he simply couldn't find any other suitable candidates. If he did it on his own, he might be able to persist for a while. Otherwise, he supposed that they would be killed in less than half a minute…

As expected, he was as majestic as ever!

Fatty sighed deep down…
