Capítulo 203: EPISODE 203: The Clash of Truth and Ideals!
The journey through the alternative route continues! With only one route left, what problems could arise on our way to Meteor Town?
From the azure skies, to the sun's glowing galore! One more month, and a new year shall finally commence. A new beginning, and a straightforward goal, this is the path to becoming a Pokemon Master. For almost a year I've been yearning to become a Pokemon Master, but no one achieves their dream right from the very beginning, or in this case, no one can be come a Pokemon Master just by participating in one Pokemon League.
Yes, after this region, I plan to visit the big eight, not to mention how small the Alola region is. From the Kanto depths to the Galar skies, this world is filled with bountiful Pokemons, and some? I've never seen them before.
Aside from this, only one Pokemon remains before completing my bench team. As usual, I gave my Toxicroak a Poketrans gem, a signature of ownership, and ideal communication. He was very pleased with gem, he leaped to the sky with a gullible spirit, spreading joy and happiness to one's heart.
The road to Meteor Town is soon coming to an end, with the town is sight, only a few steps remain. This town is famous for its abundant history of dragon type Pokemons. The town speaks of anecdotes, tales, and myths about dragons and their unique feature and attribute towards humans.
From ashes, to feisty beings, when and how did dragons arrive on this fertile land? What was its purpose? According to locals in Meteor town and the Unova Region, a legend/myth speaks of the beginning of the dragon race.
When the Earth was young and subtle, only one dragon roamed the land. The legend starts in the land of Unova, the pinnacle of truth and ideal. As we know, this region is famous for its urbanized cities. Everywhere you look, skyscrapers, buildings, and bridges could be seen.
The Tao Trio is a collective historic term used to refer to the three powerful Legendary Pokemon of the Unova Region: Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem. Other historic terms include Tao Dragon Trio and energy trio. According to Unova myths, the Legendary trio was created during the war plaguing the region. The war sparked a new race, called dragon types.
The mythologies of the trio are implied to be connected, despite having no true relation. The origins of Zekrom and Reshiram are told in legends, as they were once a single powerful Dragon Pokémon used by twin heroes in order to create the Unova region. But the brothers each sought something different in life—truth for the older brother and ideals for the younger—and they began to argue, then fight, over whose side was right. The single dragon, in response, split into two Pokémon: Reshiram, who sided with the older twin, and Zekrom, who sided with the younger twin.
The two dragons were equally matched as they battled and neither conquered the other. As a result, the brothers set aside their differences and equally declared that there was no right side, either. But the sons of the heroes resumed the fight, and Reshiram and Zekrom destroyed the region with their fire and lightning powers. They subsequently disappeared leaving a new race of Pokemon species, called dragon types. From the war which nearly shook the world, was the dawn of a new specie through the ashes and power of the first two dragon Pokemons.
Kyurem's origins were believed to be much different than those of the other two. The third dragon came down to the Pokemon World from an icy meteor and crashed into a place called Giant Chasm. The fact that Star Pieces, Comet Shards and extraterrestrial Pokémon can be found in the Giant Chasm strongly support this theory. An old legend in Lacunosa Town describing Kyurem claims that it would take people and Pokémon away from the town and eat them; this is why the town is now surrounded by a giant wall, and why none of its residents set foot outside their homes after dark.
The Legend of Reshiram was written on a chapter belonging to a book owned by dragon masters:
When a person appears who is searching deeply for the truth, Reshiram will appear. At first, Reshiram will battle with that person as a test of their strength and heart. And if it decides that person is a hero, it will pass on the wisdom it has accumulated over thousands of years and then bare it fangs against the hero's enemies. From that point on, Reshiram will treat the hero with kindness, as a parent would treat a child. But although the person called the hero will be able to attain great riches and power, the goodness in their heart will be lost, and the country built by the hero will be consumed in flames. Then, Reshiram will depart.
The legend of Zekrom however was written on the book of darkness which was lost during the early times of the Unova Region:
When the hero turns darkness into light and the hero's heart becomes one with the Pokémon, Zekrom shall descend and lend the hero his power.
Only a few is known about Zekrom, since the book which describes its attributes was lost into deep fabric. No one knows where the book is, not even the famous professor Cedric knows where. From the clash of truth and ideals, to a birth of a new type, this is how the world met dragon types.
But, how could a war cause the surge of a new specie of Pokemons? Numerous theories baffle one another. One theory is that the power from Zekrom and Reshiram caused a surge of an unknown power just like the ones found in the desert resort. This unknown power merged with Pokemons, changing their shape and sizes. Dratini was formed, then Dragonair, scientists say that the unknown power caused the Pokemons back then to mutate into newer beings.
Another theory says that the meteorite in the Desert Resort is the cause of this kind of mutation. Still, only a few colleagues support this theory, no stable proof has been given unlike the first theory.
Remarkable the forces of nature are. From one dragon to a specie of its kind, nature has her own ways of thriving, an evergrowing mother, who loves her children earnestly and sincerely. Since they're theories, it's still uncertain if they're true, but one thing's for sure, from wars to plagues, mother nature always finds away. Either to grow, or to give birth to a new child(race)
