Capítulo 149: EPISODE 149: Beast of the Cerulean Seas!
"Wake up Camellia!" Zhery shouted and thumped to pots together which caused an irritating metallic sound.
"Ah!?" Camellia suddenly woke up and leaned her head forwards. Her hair was all messed up, as the sun's shine blinded her from the upper window.
"Are you alright Camellia? You don't usually wake up this late." Zhery questioned.
"Suicune..." Camellia uttered softly as she remembered her memory with Suicune. She checked her knee and remembered that Suicune healed it with the use of the water droplets.
"Suicune? What are you talking about?" Zhery questioned again.
"I... I met Suicune a while ago." Camellia uttered softly while recalling the memory with Suicune inside her head.
"Met Suicune? Are you sure you weren't dreaming?"
"It didn't felt like a dream. It was real, it was real..." Camellia uttered softly.
"Impossible, there is no way you could've met Suicune. Suicune appears tonight, not a while ago."
"It's ok if you don't believe me, come on... let's go to the central plaza," Camellia uttered softly as she took her comb from her bag. She fixed her hair, with the help of Zhery, by the time she knew it, her hair was finally smooth and silky once more.
"Wh... where is Kalem and Glade?" Camellia questioned as she strapped her bag around her.
"They went ahead. They're already at the plaza, we've missed the opening ceremony for Suicune."
Day 4 of the festival of the beasts, and today's legendary is all about Suicune. Suicune, the aurora Pokemon is said to symbolize the rain and downpour which wept the engulfing fire. It is one of the three Pokemons which suffered great loss due to the fire, and was revived again by Ho-oh.
Tonight, Suicune will arrive on the third shrine, bringing joy and happiness to one's heart. Locals say, that Suicune has the power to purify water, through water, Suicune can heal the wounds of the people it's close to. Once Suicune arrives on the third shrine, it will bless the town with rain for the whole year once more. Rain that can nourish the drought and thirst of plants, trees, and even Pokemons. The town will be bountiful with pure water for one whole year again!
More food stalls and other game booths have been added. The central plaza is packed once more with people and Pokemon. Tomorrow lies the last day of the festival, and the only day of Yuletide. Yuletide, a festival for gift-giving and sharing! Ho-oh, the Pokemon which resurrected the three beasts, will also descend from the sky and land on the tree of festivity, bringing hope and peace to the town.`
Suicune is also said to be the closest legendary trio to Ho-oh. It is calm during the storm, has wisdom over the ice, and flames over the darkest night. Suicune loves to play with people it can trust, and not merely anyone it can see.
While waiting for dawn to arrive, people usually hang out in the plaza, celebrating with their families, friends, and Pokemons. On the other hand, other locals and visitors are most likely to visit one of the largest lakes. Lake Understanding, a wide and sometimes icy, filled with cold and pure water lake. Locals say that Suicune loves to drink water on that lake. The water is pure, you could see all the Pokemons living under the lake.
After hearing about Lake Understanding on the central plaza, I and Glade beamed with excitement and rushed to the lake. Lake Wisdom, Lake Knowledge, and now Lake Understanding, these are the three lakes which governs the region. Each lake is protected and guided by a legendary Pokemon, not Milotic, not Suicune, but something far more smarter and gifted.
We arrived at the lake before lunch, the locals were right, the water is pure white. I swished and waggled my hands on the water of the lake, it felt cold and icy since it is the winter season.
"Yah!" I began to splash Riolu with cold water.
"Kalem, that's not funny!" Riolu infuriated and splashed me with water too. Glade was mesmerized by the beauty of the lake, it was glossier than the two other lakes we've seen. He can see Magikarps, Gorbyss, Feebases, and other water type Pokemons squirming around the lake.
Riolu and I started to splash water everywhere. Glade has also joined the fun. "That's it, Gardevoir, Scizor, Grovyle, Mawile, and Glaceon... we need extra help!" I tossed all my Pokeballs to the sky.
"Oh ho! I have reinforcements too you know! Come out, Wartortle, Simisear, Drilbur, Luxray, and Braviary!" Glade beamed with excitement and tossed out all his Pokemons.
Me and Glade, including our respective Pokemons splashed each other with water. Some like Drilbur and Gardevoir, didn't want their skins to be soaked and wet. Gardevoir leaned across a tall tree while watching the rest of us play around the lake. On the other hand, Drilbur spent his time digging and making holes.
As we played around the lake, Gardevoir suddenly became alert as her eyes caught a seemingly red murky substance floating around the water.
"Kalem! Behind you." Gardevoir stood up and warned. I looked behind and saw that the red murky substance was getting larger. It was devouring the pureness of the lake.
"Everybody get out of the lake now!" I instructed as the red murky substance got larger. Soon, the pureness of the whole lake was devoured by a blood-like substance.
"What happened!? What did you do Kalem?" Glade beamed with shock as he gazed at the lake. Luckily, everyone was unharmed.
"My fault!? You were playing with me, so the question is what did you do?"
"I didn't do anything! I was splashing Scizor!"
"I was splashing Wartortle!"
"Could it be that one of our Pokemons peed on the lake?" Glade giggled and teased.
"That's disgusting! Plus, who in the world has a red pee!? Another point is, who can pee that gravely!? It looks like ten gallons or even more of blood substance has been dropped to the lake." I exclaimed.
"Hey... hey, calm down. It was just a joke, but still... I felt like I've seen this scenario before." Glade consoled as he gazed upon the red lake.
"You know what? You have a point Glade. I'm sure I've seen something like this happening, but I'm not sure if it was a dream or something else."
"Yeah... let's go now, before citizens start to blame us. By the way, Camellia and Zhery are probably waiting for us back at the central plaza." Glade uttered softly.
"So, we're just going to leave the lake filled with a murky red substance?"
"Oh, do you have any plans on how to purify this whole lake back!? Suicune can do that, so let's go." Glade uttered sarcastically and pulled my hands.
"I know how to walk you know!" I uttered with frustration.
Back at the central plaza, we saw Zhery and Camellia eating Yakitori from one of the food stalls. We rushed towards them and told everything about to once pure lake, now a blood and dreadful place.
"We're not joking! We saw it." Glade beamed with conviction.
"Eh? You guys were probably dreaming." Zhery giggled and took a bite from her Yakitori.
"Dreaming!? We were playing with each other! Right Riolu?"
"Kalem is right! The lake turned blood red." Riolu uttered with conviction while trying to use different sign languages.
"Look, a lake turning red is not scientifically proven. Anything that cannot be seen or touched doesn't exist." Zhery pointed out.
"Seen or touch!? We saw the blood lake, but no way are we going to touch it!" Glade exclaimed.
"Look, use common sense, how can a lake turn red!?" Zhery argued.
"Common sense!? Can you see common sense?" I questioned.
"Of course not!"
"Can you hear common sense?"
"Nope, what are you trying to point out!?"
"Therefore, you have no sense, because according to science, anything that cannot be seen our touched doesn't exist." I teased and giggled.
Zhery didn't believe our statements. No matter how many times we've tried to prove it, she still won't believe us. Even Riolu convicted dramatically, but still Zhery believed in the path of Science.
For the rest of the day, we did nothing but play. Play games, eat meals, and waited for dawn to arrive. Around 5:30, everybody started to gather at the third shrine. They waited for six pm to strike, but something caught their attention as the moon rose above.
The moon slowly turned red, while rising gradually. It was like an unplanned Lunar Schedule was about to take place. Zo, the visitors, and the citizens of Enju town were shocked and mesmerized as the moon completely turned red. I took out my Rotom-phone and checked it on the news if there was any Lunar Eclipse today. It turns out that even scientists and news reporters were baffled by the occurrence. It just suddenly occurred out of nowhere.
Things were starting to get familiar, and that's when I recalled something from my head. " I continued to take a walk around the black world, and it seemed as I walk, I was walking towards a lake, a lake filled with white water, I was able to walk in the water since, the lake was shallow but as I walked, the water turned into blood red.
And from there I looked up, and saw the moon, but, it seemed like the moon was turning red due to the reflection from the new blood lake." I uttered softly to mind, as I remembered the dream and the prophecy I've seen. The exact same thing happened in reality. From pure to blood red.
Glade tapped me on my shoulder, and told me that he remembered something like this from his dream as well. We had the same dream, the same prophecy was bestowed upon our minds. The people got distracted as they thought that it was just a normal occurrence, but not for me and Glade.
Me and Glade began to panic, what could happen next? While the people were mesmerized by the blood-red moon, due to the reflection of the lake. Suicune started to descend to the shrine.
"It... It's Suicune!" One of the locals pointed and called the attention of the public. Attentions were quickly shifted, from the blood moon to Suicune.
Camellia's eyes gazed upon Suicune once more. Zo began to kneel and beg the legendary Pokemon for rain, and pure water.
"Suicune, the aurora Pokemon! Me and the citizens of the town beg that you bless us with another year filled with rain that will nourish our crops." Zo begged and pleaded.
Suicune started at Zo, but the blood moon caught its attention. Suicune looked at the moon and saw it's dreadful glory. It felt irritated and uncomfortable. It was like the blood moon was attacking Suicune.
Suicune began to sense that the water on the lake was no longer pure, it got uneasy and decided to flee the shrine. Suicune hopped outside the shrine, and left the town. The third flame was unable to be lit.
The town's people and my friends were shocked. Suicune declined the mayor's request. Zo began to worry about the town's crops and vegetation.
"Mayor Zo, what will we do now!? Suicune has declined your request, who will bring us rain!?" One of the citizens panicked.
"Without rain, all the flowers will start to decay!" Another citizen panicked.
"All the flowers will start to decay..." I uttered softly as I remembered the prophecy.
...and I continued to walk towards a garden of decayed flowers..." I uttered softly as I remembered my dream and the prophecy. After the blood moon, all the flowers will soon decay, there will be no rain, and there will be no pure water.
"The garden in the prophecy wasn't referring to a literal garden... It was referring to the region. A region filled with decayed flowers." I concluded softly. For now, the flowers weren't decayed yet since it has just started. The water we drink will still be clean, but the water used for watering plants won't be.
"People and citizens of this town... Tomorrow, Ho-oh shall arrive. He is our only hope for rain and purity, tomorrow I shall beg Ho-oh to bless the town and region with bountiful rain. Speak nothing of this, to avoid panic throughout the region!" Zo proclaimed and announced.
"A region with no rain, will make all flowers decay." Camellia rhymed.
While everybody begins to panic about rain and water, me and Glade panicked on what's about to happen next. The prophecy continued to fulfill out of nowhere. It just poofed, and began to take place. What worries me and Glade the most, are the parts of the prophecy with no literal meaning. Parts of the prophecy with a deep and thick meaning, something beyond our comprehension.
For now, the plan is settled. Upon Ho-oh the people will ask for rain and water. Yuletide and the festival of the beasts shall continue, the questions still remains, what will happen next? Why did Suicune leave? Will Ho-oh answer the pleadings of the people!? The answer's soon to come, as the journey continues...
