Capítulo 145: Death Came Too Sudden 2

Lily's lip trembled as she clutched Ginny's hand tightly. She shook her head, unable to say much more. The sight of the blood Ginny had lost was overwhelming—so much that Lily could almost taste the iron in her mouth with each breath she took.

"No, it won't be like that. We will be okay. I'll distract him until help arrives. They'll be here soon. Please, don't say such scary things again. I won't leave you. I'll stay with you." Lily gave Ginny one last tight squeeze before pulling away.

"No, just listen to me this one time. Please," Ginny begged weakly, her vision blurring as her consciousness started to slip away.

"Lily! Ginny!" A vehicle screeched into the parking lot. Seeing the two girls in a visible location, the vehicle came to a sudden stop.

They had no time to focus on the attacker. As soon as they spotted Lily and Ginny, they noticed the bloodstained ground. They rushed to their side announcing that the paramedics will be arriving soon.

Meanwhile the attacker became frantic upon hearing Lin Que and Alan's voices. As soon as he heard mentions of paramedics and police, he started searching for an escape route. Though his vision hasn't recovered yet, he had to leave the scene.

Lin Que swiftly sprang into action, kneeling beside Ginny. He carefully applied pressure to Ginny's bleeding wound, using the first aid kit to clean and dress the injury in an effort to minimize blood loss. As he worked, he checked her vitals, placing his fingers on her wrist to monitor her pulse and gently tilting her head to assess her responsiveness.

As he focused his attention on Ginny's condition, he also told Alan to help attend Lily's wounds. He could tell with one look whose condition needed immediate attention.

"Alan, listen to me. While I check Ginny's condition, follow my instructions and stabilize Lily first. Make sure Lily is okay before helping me with Ginny. Understand?" Lin Que kept working, but when he saw that Alan hadn't responded, he turned to him with increasing urgency. "Do you hear me? There's no room for hesitation or panic right now. I only have two hands and I can't leave Ginny alone."

"I—I understand," Alan stammered, snapping back to reality. He followed Lin Que's instructions meticulously, working to dress Lily's wounds. Meanwhile, Lily remained attentive, allowing Lin Que to focus on Ginny instead of worrying about her.

Once Lily's condition was stabilized, Alan moved back to Lin Que's side. He handed over tools from the first aid kit and did his best to remain composed. Alan waited anxiously for Lin Que to update him on Ginny's condition.

Lin Que's face tightened with worry as he assessed Ginny's condition. "The blood loss is far worse than I anticipated—this situation is critical. I managed to stabilize her bleeding for now... but you should prepare for the worst."

"P..Prepare? Prepare for what? She..She's going to be fine, right? C..Car..Take my car! We can go to the hospital now!" Alan's voice cracked as he struggled to accept the possibility that Ginny might not survive. His anxiety spiked, his heart racing uncontrollably. There was so much he hadn't said to her— his apology and his hopes for her forgiveness. He had so much he wanted to tell her, but now it seemed he might never get that chance. The car keys in his trembling hand jingled with every movement.

Lily nearly lost her balance at Lin Que's words, stumbling but managing to stay on her feet. She whispered soothing words to herself and Ginny, trying to calm her nerves and cling to hope. "It's alright. Everything will be okay. The paramedics are almost here. They'll save you. You'll be alright... That man cannot..."

"Hey!!" The attacker's loud shout captured everyone's attention to him.

When they turned to see what was happening, they saw the man wildly waving at an oncoming vehicle. Before they could react, the car barreled into the parking lot and collided with him.

The impact threw the attacker across the parking lot. He landed just inches from the car. The driver leaped out of his vehicle and hurried over to check on the attacker. As he crouched beside the injured man, whose blood-filled airway made it difficult for him to make any sound, the driver took a long, deliberate look before calling for emergency help. It was as if he was ensuring that the man's fate was sealed.

Soon, paramedics and police arrived at the scene. The chaotic scene was brought under control. The police took the driver's statement first, allowing the others to provide theirs once Ginny and Lily had received medical attention.

The attacker was badly injured, but still alive. He was carefully loaded into one of the two ambulances. A grim expression sat on the paramedics faces as they tried stabilizing the injured individuals.

Ginny, unconscious and pale, was placed in the other ambulance. Lily climbed aboard, her face pale but resolute, and took a seat beside Ginny, holding her hand tightly as the doors shut behind them. Alan wanted to be with Ginny but knew Lily also needed medical attention for her wounds. Reluctantly, he had to make his way to the hospital separately.

Lin Que and Alan quickly hopped into their vehicle and followed closely behind the ambulance. With the extreme traffic from earlier now cleared, their route to the hospital was much smoother than they had thought.

Inside the ambulance with the attacker, the atmosphere was tense. Even though the attacker had sustained severe injuries from the collision, the paramedic methodically worked to stabilize his condition.

The attacker's breath became shallow with labored gasps. He struggled to keep his eyes open. "Snake," the familiar voice made him turn his gaze toward the paramedic.

Suddenly, the paramedic took out a needle and approached him with a somber expression. He leaned in close to the attacker's ear and whispered some words. "Snake, it's time for you to hibernate eternally. Farewell."

The needle slipped into the attacker's arm, and the paramedic's words seemed to linger in the air as the man's consciousness began to fade. His heart slowed, and with one final, labored breath, he exhaled his last.

After ensuring the man's death, the paramedic's hands moved with practiced urgency as he worked to resuscitate the attacker. He began chest compressions and administered shocks.

"Time of death, 09:27 p.m.," he announced.

He reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and pressed a button, sending an automatic success signal to the other party.

Soon, they arrived at the hospital.
