Capítulo 4: First Night
March 20th, 2014. 11:35 PM.
Fort Worth. TX. Jones Hardware.
The first night we didn't sleep obviously we couldn't the Husk had broken the glass of the door but the barricade was holding but it worried us. The store owner had pulled out a radio and turned it on and a emergency broadcast was playing in loop.
*****ATTENTION THIS IS A G.A.T.D EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM PLEASE TRY AND DO THE FOLLOWING. STAY IN DOORS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, IF YOU AREN'T ABLE MAKE WAY TO THE NEAREST SHELTER. MILITARY PERSONNEL OR LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL TRY AND REACH YOU WHEN THEY CAN...THIS MESSAGE WILL REPEAT.*****
"Hey Jo you got any weapons." Clayton asked.
"I've got this 38 and anything that can be used in this store."
"I think we should keep as quiet as possible so the Husk wander off and wait. These things are different." the Stewart the employee said.
We all agreed eventually the Husk would get attracted to some other survivors in the city and they did. We didn't really have anything to do but sit and see what can be used as a weapon. My mother and sister just sat and comforted each other the man and the woman talked about alcohol. My brother and I found weapons my brother had a shovel and I found a crowbar and went and talked with Jo and Stew.
"Thanks for letting us in Jo we haven't introduced ourselves, I'm Clayton and this is my brother Chance that's my mother and sister they will introduce themselves later we just lost our grandparents." Clayton said in a sad voice.
"I'm sorry for your loss, I'm obviously Jones and this is Stewart. those 2 over there haven't given us names they seem to busy with each other."
"How long till G.A.O.D mobilize?" Stewart asked in a worried voice.
"It will probably be an hour or 2 be for they do." Clayton said in a confident tone.

Streets of Fort Worth.
45th Attack Battalion, Joker Company, 2nd Platoon.

1-2: 10 men.
2-2: 10 men.
3-2: 10 men.
4-2: 10 men.
Armoured support: 2 Bradley's.

"Joker 2 what's your sitrep."
"This is Joker 2, we are moving slowly these Husk are way different then normal."
"Understood Joker 2 seems everyone is seeing the same changes.....keep moving through your sectors we will see what we can figure out. In the meantime get a ace report going."
"Roger that, ace report is as follows yellow, yellow, green, green."
"Roger that Joker 2 keep us informed if anything changes....command out.
2nd Platoon of Joker Company, has had it pretty easy thus far light contact and one casualty. Apparently the rest of the 45th had been getting hit hard like Avalanche Company had reported losing half of its forces with in the first 2 hours of mobilization. Our mission is to re-secure the city while the engineering core finished the walls seeing how this city was taking longer do to its size. After the first outbreak the government wanted to make all major cities more secure so that just in case we couldn't take back the world from the dead we could take a city.
"Is mission still the same lieutenant."
"Yes it is sergeant keep on mission objective."
A few minutes pass till 2nd Platoons job started getting harder, losing half of 1-2 and low ammo reporting from all squads. The Bradley's had to start supporting the squads more with the M240 machine gun.
"1-2 pull back..... 3-2 take their position. We need to keep moving." the lieutenant said calmly.
"Serg we got about 15 Husk moving in from the north, north east." a scared soldier said.
"OPEN FIRE AND DROP THOSE FUCKS." the sergeant of 2-2 said in annoyed voice.
The lieutenant could see that the battle was getting to his men these Husk are different more aggressive. The lieutenant was lost in thought when his situation got worse he awoke to screams of his men. The Husk had set a ambush. The Bradley's had opened fire at a large group of Husk towards 3-2 position and didn't stop firing for at least 4 minutes.
"AGRHHHHHH HELP!"
"NO ARHHHHH!"
"KILL ME I DON'T WANT TO TURN!"
"ALL SQUADS ACE CHECK!" the lieutenant shouted while also putting a bullet into the soldier asking for a mercy kill.
"Lieutenant this is 4-2 we got hit from behind by about 13 Husk we took them out but lost the sergeant and 4 others..... we are red."
"Lieutenant this is 3-2 we are yellow."
"2-2 is also yellow lieutenant."
"1-2 is still red and with out a squad leader."
Before the lieutenant was about to give more orders command told all forces to hold positions. Apparently Dallas was secured an hour ago and Fort Worth was taking to long and causing lots of casualties so they put up green zones to fall back to while they prepared to bomb the city. The Bradley's had already turned around before the lieutenant could give his men orders to retreat.
"Sir what about the civilians in the city." a worried soldier said.
"I don't know hopefully they get out if they can private, for now lets move out."
