Chapter 31 — Realization.
After recuperating their strength and stamina, Ning Chen and Xue Qinghe finally started their close-combat sparring session.
It was also their last training together for today since Xue Qinghe have lessons with Ning Fengzhi later.
They didn't used their martial spirits and spirit powers while sparring and didn't removed the weights they were wearing.
It was all to further develop and hone Xue Qinghe's physical body and combat experiences.
Xue Qinghe had excellent combat experiences for his age, but it couldn't still compare to Ning Chen.
Ning Chen managed to easily defeat Xue Qinghe at the end of the sparring session.
It was natural because of his abnormal physical body and deep understanding with martials techniques as a result of his training with the sword.

He didn't used any feints and just attacked aggressively and straightforwardly, making his attacks very fearsome, but also predictable in Ning Chen's eyes.
Ning Chen felt Xue Qinghe's straightforward attitude wasn't that bad, but there were times he also needed to be unpredictable.
Ning Chen started to make Xue Qinghe practice martial techniques to make his attacks be unpredictable and heavy.
After completing their first day of training, Ning Chen started to make medicinal water with the help of several servants.
This was Yu Qian's special medicinal bath formula that had the best effect on recovering the physical body.
Ning Chen was planning on taking a bath along with Xue Qinghe.
However, Xue Qinghe quickly turned down his offer and insisted strongly to take a bath alone.

The bath house was split into two sections—The male bath and female bath.

Ning Chen sat relaxedly inside the pool of green warm water and looked toward the bamboo wall seperating him from Xue Qinghe.
A thought suddenly crossed his mind.
And it wasn't definitely not about peeking since it was a detestable act and Ning Chen didn't like perverts at all.
Besides, Xue Qinghe was a guy.
Ning Chen didn't have the slightest desire to peek on another guy since his sexual orientation was straight as an arrow.
He had instead wondered why Xue Qinghe became his father's students.
"Xue Qinghe, why did you decided to be my father's student?" Ning Chen asked rather curiously.
The sound of water splashing resounded clearly behind the wall he was looking at.
Behind this wall, there was a beautiful young girl with a long smooth golden hair.
She was rinsing her snow white skin carefully with the green warm water.
The girl had a pair of golden eyes that shone like the sun, a thin nose, and bright red lips.
She was also humming some faint sounds that only she could hear.
(A/N: I don't know whether Qian Renxue took bath with her original appearance or not. I also don't know how she used disguise. I think she used a certain technique using spirit power.)
Her spirit power was spread all over her surroundings, trying to sense if anyone was trying to spy on her.
Thankfully, no one was spying on her.
The girl then looked toward the wall after hearing Ning Chen's question.
She quickly changed her voice using spirit power and then replied with a masculine voice.
"It's to learn how your father handle his matters. He's after all known as the wisest man."
"Is that all of it?" Ning Chen asked, feeling that there were more it.
The girl smiled charmingly and responded, "I can't tell you much, but I'll explain briefly. It's to gather information regarding the situations happening around the continent because your clan's information gathering ability is far greater than mine. Acquainting myself with your father also increase my influence, making my chance for the throne more solid."
"Why would you need to gather informations about the things happening around the continent?"
"Although it's looks peaceful on the surface, things are becoming chaotic and dangerous each year. I'm preparing for the possible calamity and also gathering my strength by recruiting talented people because I can't possibly handle everything."
"I see..." Ning Chen grew silent and admired Xue Qinghe for thinking so far.
The notion of a calamity happening soon was quite worrying, but Ning Chen could only try his best to raise his own strength.
In the face of absolute power, all schemes are rendered useless after all.
Ning Chen knew this fact, but also knew he was still far from reaching that.
Ning Chen had also realized something at this moment. No, he realized this a long time ago, but ignored it.
He could become a very powerful and extremely important figure of the clan in the future, but he would still have a low chance of succeeding as the clan leader.
This clan after all started and became famous throughout the continent as the best supporting clan.

It would also be composed of talented people just like him and he would guide them.
It was gonna be a group capable of making it's own fortune by bringing revolution upon this world and gather information throughout the continent and even possibly explore the unexplored oceans.
Ning Chen decided to explore the chaotic lands in the future to search for those future members.
Those future members would be people he would share unbreakable bonds and his trusted comrades.
It was gonna be a group filled with monsters.
The Absolute Swordsman.
The Legendary Warrior.
The Miracle Healer.
The Fastest Speedster.
The Money Making Merchant.

I just recently realized Chen Xing was Chen Xin....
Take note that Qian Renxue's foundation is good in other people eyes, but it's bad in Ning Chen's eyes.
Him using the word trash was just like a joke or exaggeration.
I also don't know why it lead to this, but yeah. Ning Chen will be a lone wolf yet also have some trustworthy and reliable allies who works for him.
I suggest to use Qian Renxue's appearance in anime since I thinks it's more beautiful and hot ;)
I also repeat that I don't remember much about the original version so there might be small or huge changes appearing.
